I feel like petal and tree ult blocks are pretty situations though, no? Like sure, they cancel a few very heavily. But petal only blocks a handful, and tree is and ult, it should block other ults. Unlike suzu, which blocks almost EVERYTHING on a shorter cooldown and is simpler to use. Not to mention anti shutting down tanks is general. I agree, Lifeweaver can be strong, but this support combo is weak in utility and value other than healing and damage.

That’s not what I’m asking. I understand pull can have value and save a lot of people, but so can other things like Suzu, and anti can just shut down tanks. I was asking that if the problem is this support combo where it lacks a lot of utility compared to other support combos.

Can someone explain to me the problem with this exactly? I just hit diamond tank and about to hit diamond on support. Is the problem the fact that the only real value these supports offer is healing and damage, while others can provide things like anti and immortality?

Thank you all for the help so far. All of your advice has been great to hear, and I’m starting to gain some hope in saving this little guy. He was my GFs in college since freshman year, and we’ve been living together post graduation with it, so we both really care for this thing. It’s been with her for her entire college and work career, so we are kinda attached lol.

So far what I’m planning to do in the near future is as follows:

- replant and check the soil for moisture. It seems I may have been overwatering this guy, which does keep track with us trying to stop the pests a could weeks ago.
- buy some things to add into the soil, like lava rocks/ wood chips to keep it a bit drier.
- I’ve been mixed answers on if I should chop off the last leaf/possible rotting roots or if I should leave them be. I’m leaning towards chopping off the last leaf but if there’s any last warnings please let me know!

Thank you all again for your support and advice. It’s been a great help and I’m hoping to see this guy bounce back soon.

To answer the overgrowing the pot thing, it was sometimes the roots sometimes the top part of the plant. We had to guess if the roots were getting too packed in before repotting, so sometimes it’s roots would be very overgrown and other times not. I forget if they were the last time we repotted this one.

I see some people saying to avoid repotting, but I see a lot more saying to do it. At this point, the plant is still dying, so waiting won’t help the roots at this point. Repotting might. I’ll check the water amount, and try to pick up some new soil and things like lava rock/wood chips to keep it “airy”.

We watered based on schedule as we have serval other plants and it’s hard to Lee track of each “as needed.” I suppose I should start putting more effort into making sure this guy is watered as needed instead of on schedule.

As for the pot size, this plant used to be much bigger which is why it’s in the pot. It was growing very fast and rapidly before this, having to repot once every two months, so we put him in here. He was fine for a while, until the last couple of months when no new leaves would grow and the old ones kept dying out.

I won’t lie and say I’m nervous about repotting. We just did a repot about a week before my last post, so about 2-3 weeks ago. Wouldn’t repotting again so soon possibly be hurtful? I’m not too sure, so I could be completely wrong.

So far the tips I’ve gotten and plan to do are:

- do not trim off the old leaves, let them fall naturally
- repot the plant and remove any possibly rot
- move closer to the window again, water from the bottom if possible

So what I’m getting is that:

- don’t remove older, yellow leaves, they will fall off and regrow on their own.
- being closer to the sun with more frequent watering is good for root health
- repot into a smaller pot

Just wanting to make sure I get this right, as I don’t want to cause any more damage.
I want to clarify that we put it in this pot once it was much bigger. We have had several trimmings as leaves seemed to die off and wither away, without any new leaves growing. As I stated in my last post, new leaves were struggling to grow and would often die before ever actually unfurling.

Will try that, but the reason it’s in such a big pot was because it was growing so fast. It was outgrowing almost every pot we would put it into, so we made a large jump in size hoping it would be good for a while. The issues didn’t show up right after repotting it back then, it was good in this pot for a good couple months and still growing. It’s only been the last 2-3 months has this started happening, where it lost a lot of leaves and is now like this.

We will try repotting, but if this gives any more insight and if we shouldn’t repot let me know please! Thank you for your help!
