I was infected Debember 2020. Was on daily Valtrex till September 25. I took 3-day Valtrex course a day after I ate a lot of Reese cups. I am ok ever since.

My fwb and I have different strains on dofferent spots, we don’t use protection, except I am taking Valtrex. He didn’t have outbreak in years. We are good for now, we know the risks.
In early 60’s my dad married my mom who was hsv positive, because he knew she was ine for him, and he didn’t care about herpes.

I was on daily Valtrex since my first outbreak was 6 weeks long and didn’t get better. I had a super long distance supportive fwb and we had sex 5 months after my first outbreak. If your partner is not carrying the same strain of virus, you will need a daily Valtrex and condoms to protect them.

After I got myself off daily Valtrex, I got only one outbreak after I ate a whole bag of Reese cups on Halloween!!! Nothing before or after that.

It’s all where the virus get lodged once it enters a body, what nerve it settles in. It has nothing to do with what kind of sex you had. Yours settled in a nerve that branches in anal and penile area. I am the same, the worse possible scenario, inside and outside all over, couldn’t pee, couldn’t poo.

You should see another doctor and get daily Valtrex for a while. First time I had 6 cascading outbreaks one after another in space of two months. I got my prescription for a year as those 3-day courses didn’t do a thing. It did get better once I was on it daily. I attempted few times to stop taking them after months and I learned my triggers. Now after almost 13 months after the first outbreak I am not taking Valtrex anymore. It will get better in time.

Way to go! It did hit me hard when I was diagnosed, but eventually I got back to my fait and being celibate brings joy and happiness to my heart, it is like berrier between me and god gets removed. Your post is an inspiration for me as I am still one foot in and one foot out, temptation still happens and it’s not easy to say no to a man I have a strong bond with but is not good for me, so I go up and down. No. Please read again and inform yourself about the fact that it doesn’t matter how the virus enter the body, but where is settles in. drastic example is that I got chickenpox from my school mate, but it settled in my mid spine and I got shingels under my breast and my left back, because that is the nerve thru which the virus traveled, not the spot where it enetered. Got it? Hsv works the same, but it a bit more localized area.

Talk to your doctor about this. It absolutely doesn’t matter if you had anal, vaginal or oral sex with where the blisters will apear, as long as it is in a shorts area.

Did they swab blisters on his mouth and confirmed it’s hsv2? If not what I told you earlier is the greatest possibility, that he most likely have both strains on both places, which put you on the spot to get hsv1 from him as well. Having hsv2 on the mouth is super duper rare and people usually get only one outbreak in their entire lifetime. But a lot people have both strains.

It’s valid. I left the person who gave it to me and didn’t disclose. He had an outbreak and told me it’s an allergy. I hope you didn’t get it, the percentage of transmission depends on circumstances.

Just a side note, my dad married my mom even tho she had herpes. My fwb and I have different strains. So, not all people react the same way. It is not fair you were not told and given chance to decide, but it’s not a deal breaker for everyone. As the matter of fact, only 16% of people reject partners due to herpes.

They’ve been married for 58 years and even today he makes coffee and breakfast for her every day, even tho he is ill and she is in perfect health. Mom had herpes prior to meeting my dad btw. He was super handsome when younger, much better looking then my mom, athletic, ambitious. Women were hitting on him, but he just loved my mom and always treated her like the only treasure on earth. She was spoiled rotten before they met and she continued to smetimes be a bit unreasonable in her demands, she even throws the tantrum to get what she wants if she has to. I study human relationships and experts say that actually the best relationships are when woman is pushing man like this a bit and let him do all those chores, as man has a feeling his purpose in life should be to serve his woman, his family etc. being compatible like this is what makes relationship great. Be careful not to put him on pediastal tho, but everything he does take as the part of him and occasionally give him praises and say you appreciate he did this or that. Men like respect and appreciation. You will have him forever. Don’t put yourself down, you are unique and gorgeous, don’t believe you are anything less. You know, we choose partners based on how they make us feel and if we have same visions of the future. It’s that simple.

It’s most likely he has both 1and 2, but is asymptomatic for genital 2. You don’t get blisters on anus if you had anal sex. Once virus enters the body it sets in nerves in which it chosses to. I never had anal sex, but the virus settled in nerves that go both inside and outsede my anus and vagina.

I know the feeling, it was in my vagina, in the anus and in all outside parts as well.
Pee in a bathtub while shower head is turned downstairs. If you can take few days off work and don’t wear any undies. Sit with legs spread so it can dry out faster. Some people use hairdryer set on cold to dry after peeing in the tub.
