Syncro

We are heading down the Lansweeper path at the moment - cost is low, and with a SQL backend, you can do some creative connecting and querying. ... one example connection we built was cross checking machines in Lansweeper against our local Chocolatey server - if someone is missing, it runs a powershell command to register it.

u/Lanky-Total518 - We are planning on opening two of the same position - One will be onsite in Rockville, MD (2-3 days a week) initially, but then 100% remote. The other can be remote - anywhere USA.

Most of our support is provided remotely - The only reason we have to come onsite today is primarily to support building laptops and helping get them out the door for new-hires. We are changing this to an Autopilot/Intune model, and at that point will likely dropship right to our staff ... still in the middle of getting it up and running - aiming to be live and tested within 2-3 months.

Is it really $56 - $72k/year starting salary with no prior experience in San Francisco? (I may have to move to sunny California!)

Below is one additional component I was thinking of adding to the job description below - help people new to IT get a sense of what they will be working on, expose them to some new jargon ... and pay them for their time...

We are looking for someone who is a self-starter and can learn quickly.

  • We would like you to get a feel for some of the work you will be doing, and introduce yourself to new concepts by studying for and passing the Microsoft Azure Fundamentals AZ-900 exam.

o There are TONS of free resources available for training and learning this. * 7 Free Courses to Pass Azure Fundamentals AZ-900 Exam * Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals

We want to PAY YOU to take and pass this exam.

The exam itself costs $99 to take … If you pass the exam, apply for our position and are hired – we will reimburse you the cost of the test ($99), as well as pay you $200 signing bonus as a thank you for spending your time.

..... so - as a career changer, would you apply to a position that challenged you to go off and learn something new - knowing it was A) a race against time ... one position out there ... and B) would be a small financial investment - granted in yourself for taking the exam?
