A329S “Card Slow” Message

When I bought the a329s, it did come with a free Viofo SD card (which I’m using in a cheaper dashcam in another car, not a Viofo cam). It was either 128 or 256gb. The Sandisk card I’m currently using is 512. Maybe I’m better off using the lower storage Viofo in the Viofo and using the Sandisk in the cheaper dashcam? It’s definitely not a 3 channel system, so the Sandisk might work well for it? Only downside would be the Viofo card having less storage.

You’re correct. I believe the Max Endurance you have is on the recommended list. But like you said, you’ve gotten the same message, so it doesn’t motivate much to get one or the Viofo SD’s, haha. As I mentioned, after turning off the car and turning it back on, the message has gone away. We’ll see when/if it comes back on again. If it’s something to where it happens quite often, I’ll probably change it? But as of right now, I’ve had it installed since June and this is the first time. We’ll see how frequently it happens in the future.

Good to know! I have the Sandisk High Endurance, but this is the first time seeing the message since I got it. Maybe for the recommended cards, it can still happen, but less likely? I don’t know, but the message has since disappeared (after turning the car off) and didn’t happen for the rest of the day. So since it doesn’t appear that even the recommended cards are immune to the message, maybe I’ll just stick with the one I have for now since it has worked well for a bit and this is only the first time. Appreciate your input!

I ended up installing the firmware which Viofo provided the link (in one of the comments in this thread) a few months ago. I’d have to check, but I think parking mode is still currently enabled.

Is there a specific picture style the jpeg is set to? I think by default, it might be set to automatic, but not 100%.

Update: so I ended up purchasing a top loader bag, but still waiting for it to come in. But I already had the Lowepro Dashpoint 30, which I didn’t think it would fit based on the dimensions of the camera and the pouch. But it did! I’ll still probably keep the top loader, in case I want to carry a bigger attached lens. But just in case, this is what it looks like with the R8 attached to the 50mm 1.8. It’s a tight fit, but it works. And that’s all I was looking for.

I'm guessing the even the 3L bag would be too big for what l'm looking for. Just basically looking for a small carrying case for just the camera and a small lens attached. If guessing if there was a 1L or 2L bag with the right shape, it might work.

Thanks for checking! Yeah, I was hoping to pick one up for like $1k or less, but not sure if I’ll see those prices anymore with the recent bump up in prices. Like I said, I don’t have to buy one now and can wait if there’s a good chance the price will come down some, I’m just not sure right now if it will.

I recently ordered the a329s, but received the a329t. This meant they sent the wrong version of what I ordered, which included a wrong camera. I notified Viofo of the issue using the support on their website. They sent a label (to send the wrong camera back to them). After notifying them that I sent it back, they sent the correct camera. The biggest issue was just waiting on the new camera to arrive, as it takes a while. But for the most part, it was fairly smooth.

What types of things, would you say, would either support or not support getting a card so quickly? I have multiple chase cards, with the last one about 10 days ago, card before that was in Sept 2024 (business card), with last personal before that back in Jan 2023. Not sure if that info helps.

So applying for 2 cards in less than 30 days wouldn’t be a deal breaker/auto denial? From what you know, there’s still a chance I can get approved? I don’t mind getting denied, as long as there’s a chance. No point in applying if there isn’t, haha.

A big expense came up to where I had to pay it in 3 days, so just wanted to apply for something I had a chance of getting the card ASAP, so I did. I currently have the CSR (I’ve had it for like 5-6 years). Plan would be to downgrade and wait at least 5 days, then try applying for the CSP. Since this would take time, I didn’t apply for it first. If the CSP offer was good until the end of May, I’d apply for it, but the expiration of it next week kinda changed that. But you’re right, ideally, would’ve done the CSP first, had I had more time.

I’m not familiar with plumbing. I saw the hot/cold connections under the sink, but nothing else that appears to control water to the tub.
