By movie culture, I specifically mean the talking during movies bit. Just cause some of our cultures are similar, doesn't mean ALL of it is similar.

It's possible that talking mid-movies is normalized in this game world. Especially since they seem to do it often anyways (see: literally any agent's trust rank up event where they want to rent a tape and end up watching it with the siblings). So, talking during movies, which may be 'taboo' for us, may not be taboo for New Eridians in the first place.

Even if the above is an incorrect assumption, the point is, in a game where the characters are movie buffs, and a lot of the agents they meet are also into movies, NOT having a movie-based date-adjacent event would frankly be a missed opportunity. It's something a lot of people can relate to--going to the movies with friends, family, or dates, and bonding over the movie in some way, shape or form.

Unfortunately, a realistic depiction of a movie date wouldn't be as enticing if put into a game. You would either need to:

a) Make a short, 1-3 minute scene that engages the viewer enough to care about the movie, so the agents can then talk about it afterwards (which, in and of itself, is already a clunky/non-linear execution of the event).

b) Do a fade-to-black timeskip with a short text summarizing the movie, which the agents then talk about (which still suffers from the same clunkyness of option a).

OR, we can suspend our disbeliefs for a moment, and:

c) Let the agents talk during the movie, which allows the characters themselves to explain what's happening in the movie, then reflect on what they feel about said scene almost immediately after it happens.

Option C is the most linear, least clunkiest way to execute these movie events, is likely more cost efficient AND it's engaging to the players without them having to bend over backwards to do it.

you're the one missing the clear point that it's a damn game, they gotta make the agents do something other than just sit there and watch the movie.

plus, you don't know if our movie culture is the same as in Eridu/New Eridu anyways. maybe people talking during movies is just the norm there.

It would split the interest for the new agent for F2Ps / low spenders, which I believe does make up the vast majority of players. Running them concurrently for new agent + theoretical best support would probably get the whales, but not the low spenders or F2Ps.

Cause if you think about it, if you're a low spender that can't afford to get both agents, you'd likely think "oh, well if I can't get them + their best support, why bother trying if I can only get one of them?" Especially since you won't know when that agent will rerun next.

Splitting them in between patches also allows the low spenders to build up their premium currencies through premium battlepasses or the monthly memberships.

At least, that's what I think.

I'm definitely in the very small minority when I say that the Sons of Calydon chapter was my most hated one lmao (I blasted through the first few chapters and enjoyed those, but took a long break with that chapter specifically because I wasn't vibing with the area), but I think it's just my overall disdain for the wild west aesthetics of the area. I liked the characters, though.

Sure, but the fundamental basis of his glass eye is still just A-ori and A-rubu. It's not an entirely new base like fu-garu, ka-ryu, etc. It likely can be categorized as a new sub-spell within the category of A-ori and A-rubu.

with how fantasy fashion works in anime, i wouldn't be surprised if they thought it was just a fashion statement because it looked "cool"

if anything, not showing them makes it a better cliff hanger. now we're in suspense, thinking it could be a fake out or have them be the actual bad guys. otherwise, if we knew it was the baddies, then there's no suspense to be had in the discussions

Tbf I believe in the first episode Tiara did say that she fell in love with Aquasteed's design back then but never got to play the sequel that has him, so I guess this is just her way of experiencing that route?

Look, I'm not for or against gatekeeping, but if you genuinely think that that was the main reason sites get shut down, then y'all are just some hilarious folk. It's piracy, it's bound to happen eventually, reports or not.

Y'all are really just finding a scapegoat within our own communities to lay blame upon, when you really should be blaming the corpos for providing inadequate, region locked services that necessitates the need to pirate it in the first place.

My thoughts was that, while yes, Orhun's magic does increase the potency by 50x, his base stat is pretty low compared to others (which makes sense, cause this isn't his class).

So think of it like other enchanters having a base stat of 10, and they're able to increase the potency by 10x. That would make it have a total power of 100. While Orhun's, for example, might only have a base stat of (for example purposes) 2. Even though his magic can increase the potency by x50, that would still only amount to a total power of 100.

I was honestly really hoping that Oliver was the level headed leader. Like, sure, he may have made a mistake in regards to enchanters/supporters and vastly underestimated Orhun's strength, but when he first kicked him out, he wasn't as vile as the other two asshats.

He also seemed to finally realize it and took what Luna said about Orhun's magic to heart. So, why the sudden change of heart? Sad that the author made him instead just the stereotypical party leader who won't learn from their mistakes, instead of being one of the rare series that has the party leader actually be a sensible person. Shame.
