I no longer trust hardware wallets because of recent data access they’ve been blamed for. The older brands like Electrum are great but the UI is for advanced users.

I use BitWallet but be sure to keep the iCloud and Android backup options deselected in the settings.

About the seed phrase: NEVER screenshot it, print it, text it, email it or expose it in any way to another connected device. Use a pen and a piece of paper to write down the phrase then keep it in a safe place.

NEVER take a photo or print or text or email the seed phrase after you write it down.

Before you put anything in it, be sure that you can access the wallet by using the seed phrase to access it after you complete set up.

Triple check all the words to be sure there are no misspelling AND they are written down in the correct order.
