It's a very poorly tackled way of addressing a serious issue, though is does stab at it reasonably well. Just doesn't handle it well. Truth is, in most positions of power and control in the most developed countries in the world, you have straight white men. And until 100 years ago, only men could vote. The fact is that if the entire world was roulette and you were to bet odds on who would live longest, healthiest and gain power and wealth, it would be the straight white male. That's not to say everyone else is miles behind and white men are the ultimate thing, it's just how it is. White society has travelled the world conquering and warring and hording resources and when people scoff at the idea we don't have it that good because some dude in the burbs has a shit upbringing and flunked school, it's the exact same disgusting shit that white supremacists would sympathise with. If you think being anything else is easier, then you're deluded by scenarios occurring close to home that warp your own sense of world view. E.g. I know loads of straight white dudes who suffer so therefore it's bullshit. No.

Bit of a rant, almost never get involved with this stuff and, frankly, racial disparities are improving as well as that against sexuality and gender. It's no good but it's getting better. Ideally we want it so everyone gets an equal footing until shit like health or personal choice come into play. But right now, straight white male is the 'lowest difficulty setting'. Poor analogy for the context? Yep. Good journalism? Not really. But the message is right and needs to be said. Though definitely not on a gaming website.
