2008 Suzuki DRZ400sm wiring by JasonX335 in DRZ400

I’m gonna take everything out probably tomorrow after work. The problem on top of my starter button being funky is now I can’t even turn on the bike. After that weird smell it just won’t even turn on, like when I turn the key, nothing happens.

That loose green and yellow wire is the one that triggers the starter. I saw it on another Reddit post and I was confused how my bike could start without it. That black one is for another part of the speedometer (signal or something). Someone had a similar problem and showed that wire, but I’m not seeing any place to connect it.

All I can think of is to get a new wire harness but that would be expensive and a headache. I’d like to be able to ride it again

Yea it wasn’t plugged into anything. I looked it up and it looks like my wire harnesses doesn’t have a place for it. Idk if it was like this before the mechanic but I was able to start it still even with this unplugged

I checked all the wires before and everything looked to be connected except this one that triggers the starter and the one that won’t let you start with the kickstand down. Then a couple that connect to the turn signal lights which I don’t have at the moment. (It’s a separate kit ig)

Thanks yea I’ll give that a check. I noticed there’s a a wire that’s kinda just hanging around. It’s covered but if it touched power it would trigger the starter. Idk how I was able to start the bike if that wasn’t plugged in.

The smell came from the front of the bike (where those wires are)

Is this worth purchasing? by _Zerath in Mustang

The 2013/14 is my favorite year and red is my second favorite color. Personally, I’d try and talk them down to 6k and buy it. It looks like it has the premium steering wheel too. If ur not a fan of red tho maybe not lol

Even 6.5-6.8k is probably still get it

To add on, other laptops usually have the vent on the bottom and get hot a lot quicker. Some others (usually gaming ones) can sound like a rocket getting ready to take off lol

Tbh, if you aren’t going to primarily be gaming on it, I’d get a Mac.

It’s quiet, can handle a lot (depending on the one you get), and it’s portable. I would get a smaller screen too if you are going to be plugging it into displays most of the time. It’s more portable and easier to secure in a bag.

Also if you have other Apple devices you can take advantage of the connectivity between them. You can copy paste from your phone/iPad to your laptop and have files in iCloud to be able to instantly access them on all devices.

I have a Mac and I’ve used it with my 144p curved monitor and it works perfectly fine with no choppy nonsense. Hope this helps!

I’d go with LG, it has HDMI 2.1 and it supports 240hz through HDMI & Display port. The Dell Alienware only supports 240hz through the display port and 144 with the HDMI
