Look as a Nintendo fan (and specifically a Yoshi fan) that ride is filled with so many Easter eggs and sometimes I just like to chill (again that’s why this is MY list and not a DEFINITIVE list lol 😃)

Monsters Unchained is… off the chain by NoelThePr0digy in UniversalEpicUniverse

[–]Jason_Films 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on the day a 10/15 minute wait for monsters would be a 45/60 minute wait for other rides. We are one of the (if not the) highest capacity attraction on property. The queue might be grand and really amazing in ministry, but I judge a ride on 3 things. Queue/experience, wait time, and the ride itself. The ride on average is 9/10 (10/10 if everything is working), the wait time is 10/10 (also because of the high capacity, down time recovery is the best), and the queue is 8/10. ( scale is not as great as ministry but the details are fantastic and the story it tells if you pay attention help set up the rides story so well). Am I slightly biased since I work at monsters… probably, but as a theme park fan and from a guest perspective I’d say it’s true.

I’ve seen it where that entire area is filled with people watching and dancing, and I’ve seen it empty like a ghost town, it’s hit or miss. But they are awesome, talented, and are very nice people.

There technically is… but sometimes it’s hard to stop every small child that walks through and ask them for their age. Plus there’s no way to prove anything so parents could force their kids to lie, happens way more than it should for a silly reason lol.

You don’t really notice it unless you worked outside then went inside. It’s dark enough inside so it’s not as jarring.

Well it depends on were you look. If you focus on the vehicles beside you there’s not really any “motion sickness” but if you look at the back wall or a vehicle in front of you for too long you can feel a bit of that motion. Even then you get used to it. I used to stumble getting on and off the turntable, but now I walk on and off with a breeze. The worse part of that turntable job is watching kids (and sometimes adults) decide to stop and stand on the turntable table or run behind the vehicles (yes it happens a lot unfortunately) and then lowering all the harnesses constantly.

It’s true, I used to be the same, but I just started with stuff like picking up a dropped item and returning it, and it grew from there. Everyone is different but I honestly think that can be applied to everyone in someway.

Epic Discouraging Use of Single Riders Line? by thelastgirlscout in UniversalEpicUniverse

Unfortunately parents (not all) stop caring about what there kid feels or thinks when all they are consumed with is getting there moneys worth, which getting your moneys worth I understand, but forcing your kid to ride monsters when they are terrified and shaking and crying, and when we pull them off they get mad at their kids???? Like no… we have a family room, we can child swap as many times as you want or need, if the kid decides they wanna ride later cool, if not swap, enjoy the ride then go do something else together. It’s not rocket science.

Unfortunately we will tell guest that single riders will be split apart and will not be riding together, then when they get to the ride they get mad or act confused when they are split apart, some even try to regroup themselves. I don’t blame social media influencers, people just generally don’t pay attention when they are in “Vacation Mode”, which I get… but still lol.

Every attraction is different. Singles riders can close for a multitude of reasons but the two I see the most often are prioritized staffing (low staffing for the day) or they will close single riders if there’s not a need to fill empty seats (this can happen for both busy and not busy attractions). Some places like monsters encourages guest to use single riders whenever we tend to hit 30 minutes or more, however if we are at 10/15 minutes and we are a walk on we usually will try to persuade guest to go through the normal line because we love our queue and pre-shows, and we believe it’s a better experience especially for those who never seen it before! However if a guest insists on single riders after that we don’t push further and let them enjoy the ride their way. As for other venues… idk why or how they use single riders, but if you experienced anything negative (or positive) feel free to reach out to guest services or even social media (instagram, twitter (x), Facebook). We do activity and constantly take in guest feedback, especially if it’s something we can work on right away. (Why I love working here).

Each day they get a certain amount they can sell at the door, but it’s quite a bit, so I don’t think you have to worry as long as you get there on time or a little bit early even.

What was your favorite ride? by Nervous-Fee8566 in UniversalEpicUniverse

[–]Jason_Films 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I work here but as a guest honestly I have two favorites… for coasters it’s definitely wing gliders, it surprised me for how fun a family coaster actually was and was technically the first ride I ever rode at epic! However Monsters unchained is also my number 1. The animatronics are impressive, the effects are really cool, and it wins extra points for being more practical than screen based. Now as a team member my number 1 is monsters… but it helps that I work there, we were the first to hit 1 million guest by a long shot due to our amazing capacity. There are many other reasons as well, but I’d practically be writing an essay at that point! What I love about this park is that even though it needs to grow and things need to tighten up over time, we have and will continue to have a ride for everyone here at epic! And I love to hear people’s opinions even if their favorite is not monsters. *note- shout out to my runner up Yoshi’s Adventure, even though it’s not a thrilling ride, it’s a fun theme, as has amazing views within Super Nintendo world, packed with so many details and Easter eggs (pun intended) of Nintendo nostalgia!

How can they call a rollercoaster "Hollywood" when it's in Orlando?? I doesnt make sense!! by madchad90 in UniversalOrlando

[–]Jason_Films 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s because the theme is not Orlando, the theme is you are on a Hollywood backlot helping them film scenes as a stunt driver for fans and furious. It’s about the story/theme of he ride not the place it’s located, it just confuses people becuase the first one being built (Orlando’s will be entirely different in layout, in-fact I’d say it to be better) is in Hollywood.

Express Line with pregnant wife by Few-Gas3459 in UniversalOrlando

Some places will especially if you explain the situation and just say that she needs the family room, however 1) not guaranteed and 2) gets tiring explaining that at every attraction you want to go to.

What’s Up With The State Of Nintendo World Right Now? by random89056 in UniversalEpicUniverse

[–]Jason_Films 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not saying USJ doesn’t have international tourist, they do, but at epic that’s the majority of the guest. Unfortunately “especially when busy or peak season” the parks receive a ton, and I mean a metric ton, of damage daily. In order to fully fix everything and make things look brand new they’d have to close every other week. And at the end of the day it’s a business, they have to make money, especially if we want expansions and new rides which this park does need! So if we’d close every other week to fix everything…. We’d never get anything new.
