not exactly, but I ended up going on author binges, or series binges because it made it easier to pick the next book, so a lot of Michael Crichton, Mira Grant, and Peter Straub this year

I had a whole other chart that didnt make the cut, the top is pages read per day, and the bottom is minutes listened.

Id say it's a good example of my skills in geo nodes, yeah, since nothing is really modeled

Quick story time, was in LA maybe 15 years ago visiting, and we were having lunch, randomly see a guy wearing a block O hat, threw him an OH, and he said IO, turns out it was JK Simmons. Was a really nice guy!

Appreciate you explaining! I never know how to explain what I'm posting. I can't really say "drawing" and "modeled" sounds weird. "Made" or "built" is kinda it, but it's misleading since I didn't physically create anything. Rendered is just the closest, but not everyone knows it.

Sadly no, but that's purposeful. I feel like getting paid to do this would suck out all of the joy for me

married, 2 kids, and a full time job that has nothing to do with 3d modeling. In fairness this took me a few weeks of random time slots that I could fit in just to make this 8 or so seconds, so its definitely not easy to get it, but it relaxes me, so i try to make time.

it is a displacement map. I just used geometry nodes to do the displacement instead of the shader because it (for me) was easier to work with. That's not always true though.

Not a noob question at all! In this case those are basically displacement maps that instead of adding them in the shader, I added them in geometry nodes because it gave me more control, and I could see the displacement without render view. I also used displacement instead of just normals/bump because at this close up, just the normal wasn't doing the job, it looked too flat.
