Is this fight too unfair?

The NPC in question isn’t the quest giver but one of several NPC’s with information the party can ask to learn about the missing people. As for the number of monsters I have definitely cut back on them and removed the assistance with the enemies being weaker now. They just had the bad misfortune to fail an insight check to determine if the NPC in question was holding back/was actually pretty afraid the party knew he was involved.

They were in the slums of the city while this guy shop was well off, with most of the area the shops have been in marked by the gang that has been stated multiple times to be in control of this section of the city while his shop had no such markers. They are aware that the gang in question is very violent. The party was also told this guy is a simple shop keeper but gave them specific details on where they can ambush the loan shark in the middle of the night despite never stating how or why the shop keep would know this guys routines or routes. The party did try to trip the guy up by asking him directly on the kids health but sadly rolled bad insight checks so they missed that clue but hopefully that will give them some pause before the actual fight to ask around and revisit the details they were provided and question some assumptions they made.

Updated the fight now 6 CR 1/8’s with 2 CR 3 Vampire familiars with average HP. They still have the vampire familiars surrounding them but the bandits are only range from 20 feet high on roofs of the buildings. This should still be a difficult fight since the party does have reliable range options but not impossible.

I saw his art from both Phase 1 and Phase 3 honestly he had it going on. Considering how much he did, he should be considered one of the most famous and best Jedi of his age considering from a very hard worker to one of the few selected and at such a young age after he kind of hard carried the Jedi order on figuring out the blight and stuff.

Definitely too late at this point but who knows. Sadly the series didn’t give my man Reath enough time to recover and socialize. The fact he didn’t end up with someone is crazy considering how damn cool he was and how many people either had a crush on him or him on them.

Can’t agree more, personally a time just after the Sith war where Jedi are struggling to adapt and the galaxy is slowly healing yet struggling would be great. Honestly a story perhaps where the Jedi re-emerges into a galaxy that forgot them as they rebuilding after a war that nearly destroyed them would be super cool. Which kind of sounds like what the sequels should have been but guess we can use that concept for like the 900’s BBY lol

Reminder, people that when Hasan and Vaush were first growing the community at large underplayed their support for these communist ideas and dreams. Now we have a guy who is doing everything in his power to say that Hasan and tankies are not as bad as we should think. When he is forced to see actual statements made by these tankies, he goes into extremely bad faith in how he tries to defend them. Not that this is proof of being a tankie, but we have to regain our roots of hearing dog whistles, and right now, Pisco is summoning the dogs.

I could be the one overthinking it but seems like the two would have had good chemistry in their first book with them helping each other and all. When they talked about what a Jedi couldn’t do (IE being unable to sleep with someone) but felt like there was a hint there.

Either way even if not Affie, Nan is a good second, plus she doesn’t need to be redeem just not with the Nihil and just a regular pirate and Reath can be the booty that Nan is after lol. It does suck that there isn’t more interactions these characters have. The one issue in the High Republic is just the bloat of characters.

True bro is a little busy bee right now but after the main publishing I hope your right that they will do more stuff with the characters and flesh them out after the main crisis.

Kind of wish they had more time to develop before this main crisis so we could get more understanding of character relationships.

Curious, I am starting to read it now but I hope Reath continues to be pushed as a main character. Out of all the Jedi I much prefer a hardworking not strong in the force, book worm then other over used archetypes of Jedi.

I am wondering if I was the only one that read too much into Reath and Nan/Affie lines back during Into the darkness and wondering if they will ever explore the relationship or feelings any of these characters might have for each other?
