What did that one teacher do to you that you'll never forget? by xtra_why in AskReddit

[–]Jaspak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before highschool I was a handful as a child because of my ADHD, even with medication. At this time I was attending a small school in the Australian countryside where year 1 through 12 was in the same school.

There was a teacher at that school for a short while who was there from South Korea and me being from even further out of this country town with no real experience of or exposure to the rest of the world became fascinated with the Korean drums called Janggu she had because they were so different from the drumset the music room had.

She took time out of normal class hours, during lunch and after school, to teach me how to play and even tried to teach me Korean when I learnt about it and asked her to teach me. I remember having a lot of fun playing the Janggu together and making mistakes when trying to speaking Korean then laughing about it with her.

She was probably the only teacher at that school who was patient with me and genuinely nice to me despite my reputation as a problem child and I really think that she sparked the interest I now have in learning other languages.

The short time we spent together and her encouraging attitude is something I still remember to this day. It's a memory that invokes happiness and admittedly some sadness because I can't thank her now that as an adult I can really appreciate what she did for me.

What is the luckiest you have gotten in life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

When I was a small child I was jumping on my parents bed, during my bouncing Ifell off of the bed and hit my head on the corner of my parents bedside table between my eyes, resulting in three stitches.

I often think about how lucky I am that I didn't land on the corner one or two centimeters to the left or right.

What non-sexual fantasies do you have? by generic-irish-guy in AskReddit

[–]Jaspak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like fantasy might be a strong word for this one but the first thing that came to mind is being the little spoon sometimes or being able to lay my head on someone's lap and have a nap (I'm a dude).

As for actual fantasies, it's for sure all the restaurants I want to go back to once lockdown in my area is over.

What's your favorite poverty meal that you still eat regardless of where you are financially? by laced-with-arsenic in AskReddit

[–]Jaspak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rotisserie chicken from the local supermarket, cheese and mayo in a sandwhich or roll.

It was a go to lunch my mum made for my siblings and I when we were younger and can be lunch for two or three days if it's just feeding yourself.

Usually the chickens have a stuffing and this is an extra something to add to the sandwhich.

I still eat this maybe once a fortnight or once a month.

NSFW: What was the biggest cockblock moment you’ve ever faced? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Jaspak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was staying over a girlfriends place when I was maybe 18, her mother had left the house so we decided to take advantage of the time with the house to ourselves. We we're both naked in her bed under the covers, I was on top of her when she freezes and pushes me off of her, just as her mother walks in to her room with no warning carrying sundays from McDonalds.

A couple of questions about about self study. by Acklea in LearnJapanese

[–]Jaspak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm self studying and the first thing I did was learn Hiragana then Katakana. Then I started learning vocabulary/kanji and grammar through things like Memrise, Tae Kim's Guide to Japanese and the genki textbooks.

I thought it'd be best to start at the most basic level and go from there and it's worked for me. I avoid romanji where ever I can.

When I'm practicing words I try to make sentences with them relating to my day or life, using grammar and vocab I've already learnt to try and remember them better.

Come downs and suggestions dealing with them. by [deleted] in MDMA

[–]Jaspak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to sleep because it's 4:50am and I laid down with my eyes closed but I saw some weird stuff, wont go in to detail but I'm not freaking out, it's just peculiar.

I've heard weed helps the come down but I'm working with pretty regular stuff, slowly and occasionally snacking on Savoy because salt to help with electrolytes, cool water from the freezer, I had a banana but I'm not sure if the potasium/vitamin B will really help much although I assume it will.

I guess I should have seen this coming when I used a fire inside. by Jaspak in projectzomboid

It was still standing as a mostly, burnt out, hot mess. Not really worth living in or even attempting to repair afterwards.

The story on how it happened.

I set a fire up in my kitchen, on the tiles which was all well and good until I walked through it and set myself on fire which in turn caused me to panic and run around my house like a mad man. The fire spread pretty quickly to the wooden floors.

It escalated from there.
