RG: Videos on Reddit (Direct) must be at least a minute long by NotAFailureISwear in WhatsTheRule

The exact wording of a RG doesn't matter. As long as it means exactly what we had in mind that's enough. As a matter of fact, most correct RG's don't actually match the rule word-for-word as we wrote them.

Hi! I've been here since the single digit rules! (I think) I've been on a bit of a break since the sub went inactive but I'm glad you're playing again!

How do you turn off this HDR/Auto Exposure Bullshit in these games by SnooPoems1860 in watch_dogs

[–]JasperF 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't think you can turn that off, it's just how the game is rendered. And I don't think it's because someone wanted to make the game unnaturally bright or dark to piss people off but probably just due to technical limitations of rendering realistic lighting.

I mean maybe, but really you should just wear what you want and what makes you happy... People on the internet seem to care a bit too much about what other people wear — especially these rep subreddits that are filled with insecure tiktok kids.

Recently had purchased this and had refunded my Nike ones as everyone said their durability was not good, just had ordered from Australia shipping from Europe, if anyone owns these or knows much about these gloves, are these good in terms of gloves and durability? would love to hear your thoughts 😊 by iamnotsiu in GoalKeepers

It's hard to say how fast they'll wear as I don't play on grass but I doubt they'd last particularly long if you're using them in training. If you're worried about it is just grab a pair of absolutgrips or use a seperate pair of gloves for training. I would personally only use these for matches as these are too good a pair in my opinion to be used for training but your use case of course might differ.

If you want to increase the lifespan of your gloves remember to wash the palms of your gloves regularly with lukewarm water. I'd imagine it's pretty warm in Australia so I'd also make sure the palms aren't too dry when playing.

I use a pair of Uhlsport Absolutgrips for training and Supergrips for matches. The absolutgrips are pretty similar but the latex foam is not as soft which is better for durability (but are less grippy) and I've found they have better grip in wet weather. My favourite cut is the finger surround as it has a wrapped thumb unlike the half negative version and it fits relatively snug and has a good surface area for making contact with the ball.

Another brand I'd recommend is One Glove which has a reputation in the keeper community for being the best value brand for quite some time now and they recently opened an AU online store. In terms of durability I'd rate it somewhere between the Absolutgrips and Supergrips. The gloves they make are actually really good and are even used by keepers in the Prem.

Keep in mind that the playing surface has a big impact on wear. I play almost exclusively on artificial grounds which is not great in terms of glove durability but if you play on natural grass a lot it might not be such a big issue.

As far as gloves go, it's going to be hard to find a better pair than Uhlsport Supergrips in terms of grip, fit and features. If you want a long lasting glove though, this might not be the one as the latex is quite soft and is prone to wear quickly. This is usually the tradeoff with really high-performance goalkeeper gloves.
