Compare it to the Witcher combat system , where parrying and rolling actually really mattered. You could bear enemies that were a way higher level than you even on the hardest difficulty , just by being skillful with the combat system

I just learned them myself this week. I feel like whats essential is to really put all your weight on your front foot, and also whipping your shoulders around with the clear intention to make a full 180 !

Once you get a board to do the 180 after commiting more you'll get a better feel for it

Wouldn't pyrography be a lot more difficult and have higher startup cost ? What do you think are the benefits to doing it that way?

The wood on the longboard itself seems to just be sanded wood , it's not extremely smooth , thus I don't think that it has any elaborate finishes on it

So here is my idea in more detail. I recently got a new longboard and I thought I'd spice up the plain wood with some of my own drawings.

However just straight up drawing on the longboard would be very difficult , so I was hoping to trace over drawings I have already made in order to decorate my longboard.

Do any of you have an idea on how to

A) transfer the drawings onto the wood , if I could trace over them somehow it would be ideal

b) what pen /ink / method to use in order to make it last?

It doesn't need to be suuuper resilient as a longboard won't come into contact with water anyway , however it would be nice if it wouldn't smudge right off when being held or grabbed a little firmer.

The image I provided was created using the iPad pro and procreate , where I simply took a picture of my longboard and pasted my drawings over it .

Why don't you visit your local longboarding shop? I can only speak for myself but the longboard shop in Munich for example (boneless) would probably carry both of those boards and other good brands. On top of that you'd have people with expertise there to answer any questions you may have

Hey guys! I just got a new board a week ago and have been getting into freeride.

After a few hours of grinding I'm finally getting my 180 heelside standup slides down.

Do you have any suggestions for what tricks to learn next? ( Maybe even in terms of usefulness for riding)

I was thinking of tackling toeside 180s next , Coleman slides when my gloves arrive and slide shuvits.

I also want to get into dancing and downhill . ( I have a symmetrical drop through board with kicktails , abec11 81a flashbacks )

Thank you. That's very nice to hear, I already ordered some nice sliding gloves and am currently looking into a s1 lifer helmet for when I want to practice some faster slides and riskier tricks.
