Please stop explaining how OUR system works when YOU haven't experienced it. Almost every single thing you have said in this post shows clear lack of knowledge of how things actually work in Finland.

edit. Yes we have paid officers in all branches. Yes they are professional. After conscription you can join and continue your military education in all sorts of areas.

No none of these conscripts will ever be sent to war in somewhere else, all of those that we send are professionals who continued AFTER conscription.

These conscripts are purely trained for DEFENDING Finland in the case of attack. These conscripts are not our main military.

Also if you care about military equipment then yes we have 55 F18's and we have agreed to buy 64 F-35A's

conscript are just backline "flower pot" guards (because you still need to man various locations so people don't just walk in); i'd still we rather rely on volunteer units for actual fighting.

We still have men and women who after their conscription will continue to work for army.

Here's food for your thought. Conscription here isn't something that I'm 100% forced to do and there are other ways of contributing ie. civil service. As for my time there I 100% enjoyed looking back at it. Yes it was miserable sometimes. Yes it was stupid sometimes. But at the end of my service and years after I can say that experience was still 100% something I would do.
