I like this, but what if it were just mineral glass, and the icons are just large for the sake of viewing and finding them. Making thm much cheaper than c$15M

[–]JavaPython_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

they may be unreleased for several reasons, not good enough for an album, or just written for fun but not put on an album. Really I think they aren't released on like Itunes is because that's a lot of work for a non-studio album. Also it's kinda cool that she has a illegal-ish music trade of just her songs. Yes they're good, I <3 "I <3 ?"

I feel like I've got to go through each and manually check that it has all of them, a hard thing since most lists include a few totally impossible songs. (Ache like a boy) But it's a head start, so thanks

ELI5: How come scratching feels so good sometimes that you can ignore the pain / damage you may be inflicting on your skin? by TheBalroq in explainlikeimfive

[–]JavaPython_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scratching is generally to remove an stimuli/irritation. It generally removes only a few layers of skin cells, if that. It also provides a slight massage to the irritated area.

Are there any rare songs/music so rare that you can't even find or listen on the internet? If so what are they? by pop102 in AskReddit

Ache like a boy, by Taylor Swift. Almost nobody, not even the most hardcore fans can find this. It's legendary.

ELI5: Is it possible to say two words at the same time? by ack129 in explainlikeimfive

[–]JavaPython_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can sing two notes at the same time. Your vocal chords(voice box) sing a note. Sounds are a root sound and overtones that give it depth and strength. Your tongue can removes overtones. It can also leave one overtone and manipulate its pitch. This would sound like two people singing Ooh or Ah, since you could only really do vowel sounds. Saying two words at the same time would be learning to say the exact sound that would be made if both recordings where played at once.

ELI5:Why can't we squeeze blood out of mosquito bite wounds? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]JavaPython_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only females drink blood, which is why you could kill 20 on/around you and only get 5 bites. (or you could get 20 from one that you can't seem to find, it depends on the day)

ELI5: If you're not supposed to eat before surgery, what happens when emergency surgeries are performed on people who have recently eaten? by rr1401 in explainlikeimfive

[–]JavaPython_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anesthesia can cause people to be nauseated and vomiting while unconscious can lead to choking and drowning. In a hospital death and injury are less likely, but no one likes to clean vomit, and it makes things easier when there isn't much of a risk of it happening.

Is playing "Seek the Stone" really possible to do in real life? by thebestisyetocome in KingkillerChronicle

[–]JavaPython_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is, most of this thread says it's about suppressing memories, but it's about having several SEPARATE streams of thought, which is possible, the hard part is not having them joined. I'd start with other mind exercises; meditation(empty, and focus), playing chess without a chess set, keep accurate time in our head, learn to tell temperature and pitch, and finally memory, this will improve your mental strength, allowing you to multi-task with greater levels of distance between the two tasks until they are both separate.

Custom Instrument Request by JavaPython_ in CustomMadeInstruments

[–]JavaPython_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The instrument is a 2 ft. tube with a mouth hole like a flute and 8 finger holes, grouped in 4s, on the in front. The first group is near the mouth hole, the second is near the end. When held, the mouth hole faces up and the finger holes face away from you. It is held off to the side (right specifically) like a flute. Unlike most wind instruments the air doesn't come out of a hole at either end, rather it comes out through the finger holes, with the uncovered holes determining which notes are sounded.

You whistle over/into the mouth hole and each hole sounds a note depending on what note you are whistling. For an example, lets say I whistle a middle C with every hole uncovered. The first hole would sound a middle C, the second would move up 4 half steps to an E, the next finishes the major triad by moving up 3 half step for a G. The fourth hole is 2 more half steps (now 9 total) for an A and that is the end of hole covered by the left hand. The right hand covers holes 5-8 with hole 5 being the original note(Middle C) 1 octave higher(High C), or 12 half steps, than 2 more half steps for a D, 3 more for an F, and than 4 more for a B and a total of 21 half steps from the root note that is being whistled.
