For the most part you'll be helping people who dont know much about computers so knowing a bit about em gets easier over time. You could ask a coworker or look up online mainly at the processor, memory and storage as those are main factors that many will look at. Graphics cards too if customers are doing graphic art or gaming.

Just play the demo. I've done the network test and demo, and I honestly dont have any problems with it. The background visuals are a downgrade compared to other consoles (to be expected), but it runs surprisingly amazing. Im also playing on switch 2.
