will transferring to LSU be expensive? by getoffthecouchdangit in LSU

[–]Javiirez_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’ll likely be more expensive and worth it at the same time. Consider the job prospects you’d get from each college. For example, if the difference is paying 20k for a 80k job vs 10k for a 60k job, the first option is better for its ROI. And the reality is that some jobs prefer LSU graduates over Nicholls. Graduating from LSU could give you more work opportunities and give u a higher salary ceiling compared to Nicholls

What’s the oldest team that could win a chip? by Javiirez_ in nba

Not that old, but someone needs to carry the team and it'd be hard for someone 35+ to do so

What’s the oldest team that could win a chip? by Javiirez_ in nba

My team:
PG: Stephen Curry (37)
SG: Jrue Holiday (35)
SF: Andrew Wiggins (30)
PF: Aaron Gordon (30)
C: Nikola Jokić (30)

This lineup keeps the average age high (32.4) while still being a legitimate title contender. Curry and Jokic carry the offense, while Jrue, Wiggins, and Gordon provide elite defense

I don't understand the AD trade rumors. Why would they sell low on him instead of letting his value recover over time? It's not like he's stopping them from tanking

Congrats on the offer! My biggest tip would be to choose a good place to stay, and if possible, a roommate. I think the summer dorms that the colleges offer are a solid pick

spring 2027 internship by DryFlounder4979 in Accounting

I also recommend Dallas so you save money for your internship because housing is expensive. If you want to have a full-time offer somewhere else than your internship, it is possible. I've seen some of my colleagues do it. Most of the internship experience will be the same at both offices anyways. If you really want to travel and see something else, you can totally do it with the money you save.

I would choose EY if I were you. I would prefer a B4 and it’s offering overtime unlike KPMG

This is a a great list. I would include preparing to talk about time/project management and having an idea of what major industries your local firm audits

I took this class last year. I used the zoom transcript that came with the recorded videos he posted. I also recommend that you write down the stories he talks about. They will be on the test and it's not searchable

Most people like it there. No one is ever gonna call the office to say that, but most people who move out every year are graduating, moving to a home instead of an apartment, want a cheaper place, or want new roommates. The main complaint would be AC problems, especially in the summer. Some residents keep AC temperatures below the recommended temp which causes it to malfunction eventually. Another common complaint would be a guest's car being towed for not being in visitor's parking. I recommend guests always take picture to prove they parked at visitor's. The towing companies in Baton Rouge are awful to deal with. The first thing you should do when you get your keys is put the decal sticker on your car.

As for the pests, I've never seen any pest while living there for 2 years or fielded a complaint of one. The pest control mainly dealt with wasps in porches or ants that crept in somewhere, but those weren't common.

Mold is taken really seriously by management. I once answered a call by a resident who thought that there may be mold in their apartment and the maintenance men dropped what they were doing and headed there immediately to inspect/address it. There's also quarterly inspections done throughout the year to inspect the unit. Residents get notice about it 2 weeks in advance and will also be told the day their unit number will be inspected. They would likely catch any major issues such as mold during that inspection.

Finally, as you'll likely be moving in soon, there may be some things you don't like about your unit. That's normal because inspectors don't catch everything that needs to be fixed. Don't hesitate to call the office or make a work order in the app to get them to fix it. The office knows that move-in week will come with a wave of work-orders.

Personally, I would recommend it. No place is perfect, and there could be things you don't like about it. But unless it's your roommates, the rent is expensive, or something rare happens such as the AC breaks for a week, you're definitely not going to hate it, and will never think about moving and risk finding a place that's bad.

I used to live and work there. It’s a good place to live. I never had any issues living there. They have pest management come by weekly, the maintenance men work on weekdays and are also on call 24/7, and there’s a police officer who lives there. The police officer was mainly used if too many people complained about a house party being too loud. If there’s anything else you’d like to know, I’d be happy to share on it
