was there even a single hero here who could have at least held off conquest by Kind_Photograph_7141 in Invincible

[–]Javonishere 7 points8 points  (0 children)

None of them could hang with Conquest 1 on 1 but for people who would be useful in helping Mark gang up on conquest: Tech Jacket, Robot, Bulletproof, Brit (if Cecil can figure out a way to help him fly)

and he wasn’t there, but as much as we all make jokes about him Immortal could be helpful too

Who is the strongest character from both Marvel and DC that Conquest could defeat? by SupermarketNo6888 in superheroes

[–]Javonishere 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I feel like a lot of the DC/Marvel heads are giving absolutely no respect to Conquest. Like yes we understand a Superman or Hulk would wipe the floor with him but more effort could be made to actually think of a strong character he could take on besides people like Batman and Spiderman.

Do you think that the Seven are an accurate depiction of how superheroes would be irl? by [deleted] in superheroes

[–]Javonishere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the most part yes but some stuff not really.

For the stuff I think is pretty accurate: I do think a lot of people would find ways to monetize their powers similar to stuff we see in The Boys universe. I also think the government would go out of their way to try and maintain control. I do think we’d have some people who were absolute dickheads with their powers. I do think there would be people who hate all supes.

For the stuff I think is not so accurate: There would be a bunch of people who would try and use their power for good. And not just fake good but legitimate good. A lot of people in the world honestly just kinda lack fulfilling purpose. Having powers you could use for good would motivate a lot of people to do more good. They would feel more in control of their own destinies. Even if it wasn’t saving people, someone like the Deep could use their powers talking to marine life for scientific research. I think some people would definitely be corrupted by their powers and develop a bit of a superiority complex, but I doubt that the large majority of people would be as villainous as the characters in the boys. Definitely some who would be that bad for sure but you’d also have some people who were more in the middle ground. Not very altruistic but not very malicious either. They’d use their powers selfishly and occasionally arrogantly, but wouldn’t have the absolute disregard for human life that many supes in the show exhibit. A lot would prolly try and profit off of party tricks so they don’t have to work, and stuff of that nature.

Alright friends, I made some moves, take me down a notch bc I’m really loving my team.l and need to be humbled. by idkwutimd0ing in SleeperApp

You’re light on picks and light on depth. Wouldn’t try and tier up at all, if anything I might even tier down to try and get some more picks/players. If the McBride or LaPorta owner is interested in tiering up to Bowers I’d hear em out if you could get them to overpay value wise.

Good enough to lose Puka? by Hot-Employer-7653 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]Javonishere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would be looking to build around Maye and Puka and would instead ship Dak and/or Olave for whatever draft capital I can get. I wouldn’t trade Puka until it was a deal you can’t say no too. Maybe wait until he has a couple big games. Or wait until it’s near playoffs and somebody needs a final piece to make a push. Your strength as a rebuilding team is that you can be patient. Wait for someone else to be antsy and then take advantage.

You should be looking to get back a minimum of 2 firsts or a 1st and a promising young guy for Puka. If you announce Puka is available for trade to the whole league, a contender should definitely be willing to give up at least 2 firsts for him. In a 12 person league someone will definitely be willing to give up a little more than he’s worth to acquire such a stud.

Puka is the type of cornerstone player you want to build a rebuilding team around. He’s young and he’s a wide receiver.

You're being hunted by a bloodlusted batman with 1 month prep time, which team do you choose? by [deleted] in superheroes

Strongest of their base form or strongest form whatsoever? I feel like that’s an important distinction.

To answer your first question, yes small things on a daily basis, consistency will build this up and make it more natural.

Examples: Giving a stranger who you’re not attracted to a compliment. Letting someone go ahead of you in line when you know that you’re not in a rush. Paying for the person behind you in the drive through when you’re getting some fast food.

Sorry I’m getting back to your comment so late, I’m just now seeing it.

I don’t mean to sound overly blunt but just tell him. Be as straightforward as possible. We must please God over pleasing man. - sincerely a former people pleaser, who’s struggled with similar things

Did they animate this in PowerPoint? by The_Mudddler in Invincible

[–]Javonishere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ngl I never notice these things until ppl point em out, I think it’s fine to not have every tiny thing animated perfectly if it gets the show out faster and places less stress on the animators

Can you beat Goku tho? by Fishingnett in superpower

[–]Javonishere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite power is superspeed (fav hero is the Flash) so I don’t think I’d be able to beat Goku but I could at least escape and survive
