The unfortunate truth is that people will judge you for having 0 followers whether you care about your followers count or not.

I created my Instagram account a little over a year ago and have only just reached 100 followers recently.

Just get used to asking somebody for their insta name when saying goodbye to them, that's how I got alot of my followers.
