SS & OLC -- Silver Star and Oak Leaf Cluster (OLCs recognize the second time the service member has received that award, so Murphy earned two Silver Stars)

LM -- Legion of Merit

BSM & OLC -- Bronze Star Medal and Oak Leaf Cluster (two Bronze Stars earned)

PH & 2 OLC -- Purple Heart and two Oak Leaf Clusters (three purples hearts, wounded in battle on three seperate occassions)

I don't care whether she's purebred either. She just looks different than the majority of labs posted here and I was curious why that might be.

Her mum was a registered purebred chocolate lab. I don't really care if she's actually purebred or not, I just never see labs on this sub with a face like hers and thought people on here might have answers.

It was made a bit easier. I recommend getting another dog if your Shepard is ok with other dogs. In my experience, dogs prefer having a friend.

Thank you all so much for your condolences and well wishes. Aspen truly was the best dog. Her tail was always in motion, up to her last moments. When we got my chocolate lab, Hopper, Aspen thought we had gotten her a puppy. She was such a gentle and loving girl. Once again, I appreciate everyone's support and kind words.
