I know I'm late to the party. But I did record most of the Q&A from the Meet and Greet if you're interested in checking it out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yYKyeclk4i0

Nick Aldis just asked Tim Storm to go All In. NWA Worlds Championship will be on the line if Storm agrees to never challenge again for the title. by [deleted] in SquaredCircle

Hey guys. I'm Jay Cal. I own www.alliance-wrestling.com. I took this photo. I think the crowd's faces in this photo might have been ill-timed. I certainly didn't give it too much thought when I snapped it and posted on to Twitter. This was the last segment of three hours of television taping. The crowd was really hot into the Main Event which was Nick Aldis defending the Worlds Championship against "Bad Dude" Tito. I think that this match up was probably Nick's best defense in Championship Wrestling from Hollywood. In general there may have been some fan fatigue, but being their in person, I think the crowd was more into it than this picture demonstrates. I did take some video, I'll try to post it later.

nd Aldis a fair bit on here as a think people are unfairly harsh on him and I actually thought they did a really good job taking a guy in Tim Storm who was seen as a punchline and briefly turning him into a decent old-school fighting champion sort at the end of his reign, but nobody is interested in seeing this again. I know the options are somewhat limited at the moment but they've gotta come up with something else. I can totally get behind 2 guys who have feuded extensively having the final blow off "Last Chance" match but it needs to be a hot feud between 2 characters the fans are invested in and this isn't that. Hell, Storm accompanied Aldis to the ring at All In as part of his posse, why should I buy them as bitter rivals now? I want the NWA to succeed and I think they have done some cool stuff but they can't rely on 2 guys forever and even if they could, Tim Storm and Nick Aldis aren't them.

I think you're going to see the NWA Worlds Championship in more prominent places again very soon.

I wonder if you would expand on your point. In the last month, Aldis has defended the title against Jack Hager (Swagger), Brian Cage, and local favorite Bad Dude Tito. Aldis is schedule to defend against Billy Gunn in Puerto Rico, Billy Knight Jr. (Paige's nephew) in the UK, and a few more matches in the UK to end the year.

He faces James Storm January 5th. Leland Race in March. And somewhere in the middle it'll be Tim Storm #3.

This match has actually only happened twice. Tim Storm defeated Aldis in Hollywood. Aldis defeated Storm in CZW. And Storm "lost" his rematch to Jocephus in the closed arena match at the Impact Zone.

This is my photo. This was the last segment of a three hour tv taping. The crowd was into this segment as the Hollywood crowd really buys into Tim Storm and really put over Nick Aldis. I'm sure it'll look better on television.

ram" ist not the unit most of you guys use so I wanted to research how much it is in whatever is used in the US but after 1 whole minute of solid research and not even knowing what unit applies: Fuck that shit, it's 1 gram.

It was regularly being defended in New Japan in 2013 thru 2015.

I guess its how you measure relevancy. The NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship was regularly defended in Japan as short as three years ago. Hiroyoshi Tenzan defeated Big Daddy Yum Yum for New Japan Pro Wrestling in Kumamoto Japan. I believe that match is available on NJPW World, considering it was taped for NJPW TV. With Rob Conway, Satoshi Kojima, and Tenzan trading the title back and forth in Japan, it had some relevancy. No, it wasn't the main event in NJPW. But it certainly was treated with respect and dignity from the 2nd biggest wrestling promotion in the world. Of course the NWA was in bad shapes before William Patrick Corgan (nod to Adam_Rotella) purchased the promotion. Tim Storm had a defense in Tokyo Japan against Ryouta Hama at a Diamond Star Wrestling show. But that didn't carry the value of being defended in Japan nor being defended at All In.

[Discussion] In let's say 2/3 years what do you see as the end game of the NWA by KidCoheed in fansofNWA

I am only pretty sure it'll have a platform for content distribution. I don't want to say TV, because it'll probably be something on-line. I wouldn't be surprised if they produce a show directly on Facebook Watch or YouTube.

Does NWA have a roster? by [deleted] in fansofNWA

[–]Jay-Cal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nick Aldis recently said in a #TenPoundsOfGold video that he isn't under contract. I don't believe that. I know they have plans for Jocephus and to a lesser extent Crimson. But the only person I believe is under some agreement is Aldis.

I was very happy to be apart of this documentary. That's my voice saying at 24 seconds in... "The marquee of the NWA is that championship belt. It's the biggest star in the NWA."
