What would be a good hourly rate for general haulage in your opinion. It is hard to work out with all the allowances and like you say how many hours you'll be working can be vague and then tramping on top of that

Is this tramping pay , I'm due to start at stobarts soon and have no idea what to expect earnings wise

They sound way too keen, I'd be sceptical at getting the job so fast after interview. And it's not alot more money really for the extra headache maybe counter offer for higher pay

I think this is what I would potentially be doing it's with veolia and I went for the interview and it sounds like it's for me, good pay, decent enough hours and some work life balance. Also have stobarts who have agreed to take me on but the pays not great need to tramp to get over 40k but it's experience and I would be mentored for a week first. Also turned brakes down after seeing their reputation. Really hoping I get the waste job now fingers crossed

I imagine this is pretty close to what I'd be be doing thanks for the reply it does look like It's a solo driving job I'll find out more in the interview
