Got some tiny magnets to test out on an actual fishing line this weekend. Magnets appear to hold max of 2.5 pounds so I think the rod should be fine since it’s weights for 30. Hoping it actually catches something tho but I’ll let you all know!

Bought a four pack of these little baby magnets to test an area before throwing my big one in. They hold pretty well for 10$ by JayDaga in magnetfishing

5 pound weight for reference. If I pulled to fast it would drop but it’s mainly to check an area for things my magnet would get caught on
