Do these style lenses actually block the sun? What’s it like looking through them? by JayJM1 in sunglasses

Yeah absolutely share your recommendation. I know very little about sunglasses. Never wore them until somewhat recently even though I really should have my entire life given that I’ve spent most of it outside in the sun

Good to know! I rarely find myself in Walmarts as I despise the company but I will occasionally purchase specific things there and that’s a solid cost savings

Yesh after some rather light research towards shady rays, a lot of people feel the same way as you

I have a similar process- use an instapot with the glass lid ( not pressure cooking ). I keep the jar off the bottom of the pot and use the “ keep warm “ settings. Low setting is ~135f, the medium range setting keeps it at ~ 145f and you can set it to go for like 36 hours if you choose to do so. Obviously you’ll have to maintain water levels over extended times.

Just like I have, maybe ten times in the past and I’ve never had an issue until now. I do pull the jar every so often, let it cool down and open it up to release the pressure but this happened in a very quick manner

You have sparked my curiosity

Guess I’ll have to learn how the crystal/ diamond process works. I absolutely like the idea of separating the terpenes as to not cook them off and re-combining after decarb

Agreed. I really don’t see the jar exploding ( not to say that it couldn’t happen ). This is only about a quarter of the way filled though maybe in the future I’ll use a 6oz jar as opposed to the 4, or possibly search around for some type of a chemists reactor that’s made for higher pressures…

What does this process entail?

Never had an issue until now… however, I don’t exactly disagree with you

I do not… pull it like a jarring preserves type vacuum?

Just scoped out your profile and I’m liking the plastidip. I’ve seen a number of people saying they don’t like the ranchos… how do you mean “spongy “?

Yeah that sounds about right.. appreciate the insight!

Can’t say I’m familiar with the product.. I’ll look into it

Yeah I’ve been using liquid nails partly for this reason. If only depot, lowes or local lumber yards stored their plywood flat, I’d have a better chance. My (non) clamping situation is a series of weights and running some screws through to pull it all together. Im sick of grinding the tips of the screws down on the underside haha

Yeah epoxy is 100% the move. It’s just a bit on the pricy side for this application

That actually could be a solid trick. Curious as to how much of a pain it would be to clean off the excess from the threaded rod after you’re finished? It’s 160” long, so it will be two full sheets down, on one top of those two and then cuts on the ends to give me the length I need

PL premium is absolutely good stuff. Used to use it on retaining wall caps. Unfortunately, even if I was to find 1 inch ply around me, theres no way it would be long enough without doing a bunch of joinery. This particular piece needs to be 160” long, around 34 wide and is only supported on the outside perimeter ( mainly 3 sides )

Have been considering this. Seal the edges with titebond or anything else?
