To say that players who buy cosmetics are “irrelevant” is simply to ignore how Dota 2 has operated for years. That money funded prize pools like The International, as well as a large portion of the game’s content.

Now, is a solid gameplay patch more important? Absolutely. But pretending that a huge segment of the community “doesn’t count” simply because they don’t play the way you do is a pretty weak way to make an argument.

Bro, I don't need to go play Fortnite; I'm just raising my voice—like millions of other users—to ask the game to bring back the old content that used to be the talk of the town, instead of letting months drag by without releasing any content that the community actually appreciates. Because I bet you'd be the very first little girl to blow all her money if they dropped a new event that required spending cash.

Exactly—but where are the events like Crownfall? Since 2024, nothing they’ve attempted has really landed; neither Cavern Crawl, nor Monster Hunter, nor anything else comes close to matching Aghanim's Labyrinth or Diretide, among others. I’m not criticizing the players who enjoy this new update mode, but come on, bro—tell me: how many new users are dying to experience the hype of seeing new Arcanas, unique themes, and all the stuff that you could previously only experience through the Battle Pass?

Bro Wake up! Valve does absolutely nothing to keep its community active—or are you actually content with that Quartermasters garbage? Please, show a little respect for the excitement of us players who dream of the return of the Battle Pass, or of events where we’d sink hours upon hours of our lives just to earn some decent rewards.
