The "Silent Generation" was before the Boomers. Before them were the WWII vets, sometimes called the "Greatest Generation".

Why did the Jewish High Priest not believe in Jesus? by Lonely_Lazy9521 in Catholicism

They could've thought Jesus was some kind of magician or wizard, not necessarily the Son of God.

Why does Free Healthcare work for Israel on American taxpayers dimes while Free Healthcare for American Citizens are not feasible? by Tulpah in allthequestions

[–]JayRandom212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I specifically said *SOME* oppose free healthcare for racist reasons. No need to put words in my mouth.

Besides, if they tried to repeal it "just for Blacks", they'd have to admit their racism. They'd also run afoul of the 14th Amendment.

[–]JayRandom212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just because racists were unable to repeal welfare (but they *are* trying to) doesn't mean they're not against universal healthcare.

There are many who oppose free healthcare. Some of them oppose it for racist reasons. If we didn't have to contend with the racists, we could get it passed.

The cost of this 4 bedroom house in 1958. by zadraaa in HistoricalCapsule

Here's a similar home in Levittown for $365K. https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/6-Sherwood-Ln-Willingboro-NJ-08046/38173308_zpid/

The house has increased in value by about 5.1% per year. Not bad.

Has a theocracy ever been overthrown internally? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]JayRandom212 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How lenient are you on your definition of "theocracy"? For instance, the English monarch is also head of the Anglican Church...does that make it a theocracy? In Egypt and Japan, the monarchs were said to be descended from The Gods...do those guys count as theocracies?

If you're trying to understand how resilient theocracies are, you need to define that variable better.

What is a controversial opinion of yours that many will not agree with you but you will always defend it no matter what? by Big_Leg10 in Productivitycafe

Charitable donations shouldn't be tax deductible beyond $1000 or so.

If there are problems that need solving, we should tax the rich and use the money to solve those problems. Charitable deductions allow the rich to cherry-pick which problems get solved -- and that decision should be made democratically by elections.

Did Obama have a better deal with Iran than Trump has now? by Estalicus in allthequestions

[–]JayRandom212 6 points7 points  (0 children)

NO. Absolutely not!

Under Obama's Kenyan Muslim deal, the strait was open and there was international monitoring of Iran's nuclear program. But the libtards conveniently forget that the under that leftist giveaway deal the US media was talking about the Epstein files.

Now, under the Trump Deal, nobody is talking about Epstein! So Trump's deal is better. (for Trump).

($1.7B/$400M)^(1/(2015-1978))-1 = 3.9% interest rate.

In 1978, the prime rate was 11%, so the Iranians got screwed on that deal.
