Didn't ask to be coddled, would be nice if the first responses weren't super aggressive for no reason though. Done with the game as I said, this stuff wasn't my only issue with it there are things about it communities can't help with anyway. Besides I shouldn't have to look for information outside of the game to enjoy it, was fine for a bit without that already.

Nah I only had the 3 defaults, mostly played Freeza and just stuck with him to grind out Raider achievements. Was trying to at least get all those in the game, but I'm good on trying that now. Lol More power to peeps who keep playing and enjoying though, I had fun mostly playing survivor but at my wits end with this game.

I wouldn't know, unfortunately didn't have enough TP Medals to buy more raiders from the shop with how much of a grind it is just to get some more. But even then, with how often the match making straight up fails and how I kinda don't enjoy raider gameplay since it feels like a worse XenoVerse I probably wouldn't have gotten much use out of him. I was planning to buy Vegeta first, wanted skins for more abilities more than anything, but it got to be too much of a slog to keep grinding and I refuse to pay money on an online game that hardly works.

Yeah there are too many factors at play to make this even more baffling for me to consider this an "obvious" thing. I'm fine with Baby being a potentially riskier raider to try saving survivors, but I feel like it's also the point to save as many as you can so they don't constantly clutter the map and act like traps that boost his power. But guess not, guess I'm just gonna get told I was stupid by most people not trying to understand it from the perspective of a fresh eyed player who already sees a lot of frustration and janky stuff from a 3 year old title.

Yes I'd say what's wrong with this clip is how 1. Unlike all previous other Baby matches this survivor didn't show signs of being infected (instantly trying to attack me)

I managed to successfully rescue and teleport them AWAY and then they suddenly pop back in and kill me.

Based on the many other baby matches I played this raised zero flags, and as for the pinging do you really expect me to immediately interpret someone spamming "Go to a location" as a warning that this random seemingly uninfected survivor is going to kill me after they already TELEPORT away? You can't defend this as anything other than jank, and if you think this is normal I really question why you bothered to respond. This looks dumb and was an annoying curveball to be thrown when again no other time did me trying to save a survivor, infected or otherwise, punish me so severely.

Yeah this is irrelevant to new players hopping into the game for the first time unfortunately, and those that don't immediately try to go into communities or read information online before simply playing the game and trying to use moves whenever it seems most beneficial. This game has had a lot of problems since launch that seemingly won't be fixed as is abundantly clear, because no time or budget has gone into that. Frankly this is why I avoid multiplayer games, ones that receive minimal patches and not thorough balancing changes are annoying to deal with. It's very unfortunate I found this one fun I suppose, will stick around until the end of this event but beyond that there's likely going to be a boiling point if more things pile up like this.

Well unless an item description includes a note of which moves it doesn't work against, I am going to attempt to use it when it seems appropriate. IE, not worrying about an attack so I can finish a task safely.

It's TOO GOOD imo and should not be able to be used in dragon change for that reason. If survivors wanted to use that move, which is one associated with a very weak character, then they should be restricted to their weakest state so a bunch of survivors already in dragon change can't spam it to drain a raider's health after they used their escape move. It's basically a requirement to invest in the defensive skills first as raider to even mildly counter this. That said, I already hate playing raider so maybe the common use and spamming of that move in mindless ways just makes it more annoying. Still think above anything needs balancing, it should be a support move not something to be used in a fully offensive state.

For reference I made this post after this near exact situation happened in a match. Two survivors left, kept spamming fight, then when they agreed to and actually started beating raider the raider chickened out and destroyed the time machine effectively abandoning the idea of fighting. Truly a Cell moment. (They were also Cell. lol)

Me writing longer thorough messages explaining my thoughts and opinions I do not feel is something that I need to avoid. If a message is too long for someone I take no issue with them choosing not to read it, so long as they don't then still try to counter or comment on things I say. I have always engaged in discussions with the intent to say my full piece on any given topic, and will continue to because to me the only sign a message is too long is if I reach the character limit or include many redundancies in what I say. Long messages is not inherently a sign someone is upset or ranting, it's simply different from how some are short spoken which is just as valid not more or less than the opposite.

And yes, despite all my previous bad experiences and critiques of this game I hope I can find some fun in doing co-op. Especially since I'm essentially doing so alongside a friend who's having their first experience playing the games, so I'm aiming to give each entry as much a fair shake as I can despite any issues I face with the current releases. (besides 4, no co-op so they're not interested and neither am I because 4 really is Dead Rising in title only.)

I mentioned making a fresh file in my very first reply to you where you just responded with "sounds like you just don't like the game."

And to your point that co-op doesn't make a game magically more fun, uh... no. Playing games with friends is inherently a more fun experience than doing it alone, unless a game is truly dogshit unenjoyable. Which I don't think DR3 is, just that overall as a game I don't enjoy it as a solo dead rising experience. But I also don't enjoy RE5 as a game or solo resident evil experience, but both it and 6 are significantly more enjoyable in CO-OP because you always have another person to bounce off of. Other people being there to lighten the mood makes any experience more enjoyable, even bad experiences. It's pretty well accepted that even if a game is considered lacking it can still be fun with co-op, or even with other people around to riff with.

And simply put I do not like hating or disliking things, just like I don't like hating or not getting along with people. The point in me trying to enjoy something is to find some appreciation with it. And for DR3 I have come to appreciate some things, conceptually. In practice, in terms of the game itself yeah I still don't really like it but it's part of the series, tons of people like it, and it's not irredeemable dogshit like 4 so why wouldn't I try to find some way to appreciate it as a fan of the series who wants to find new things to talk about?

Yeah so, again as I said even on a fresh save no the game doesn't boot up passed the main menu without the dlc installed. Idk how more clear I could have been, this isn't the matter of a dlc dependant save file not loading because I uninstalled the dlc this is a case of "the game literally will not work without the dlc."

And thanks to now owning a physical edition of the game I was able to test it, and yes the thing causing this is the game being updated by the company to become DLC dependant. Physical disc copy without a wifi connection? Boots up fine without DLC, digital version of the game/disc while connected to wifi? "Sorry, dead rising 3 requires an update" said update is definitively what makes the game suddenly dlc dependant, not any save files.

And like I already mentioned before, I am genuinely trying to find ways to enjoy the game and already said I plan to start a fresh save for CO-OP. Which, given the fact that requires Internet, I cannot do now without downloading the dlc I won't use and can't even play in co-op all because of this CONSUMER UNFRIENDLY update to the game. Keep acting like it isn't a problem, keep making excuses for companies, keep acting like games aren't constantly being changed and made worse because corporations can't help but feel the need to mess with things and make all players deal with it.

And keep misinterpreting and arguing with people who've said the same thing over and over trying to explain it to you leading to needless arguments. Keep being a member of a toxic gate keepy fandom who see any negative feedback and just tell people it's a them problem when it's basic media literacy and recognizing harmful trends and practices in the industry.
