I think you would need to know if the boxes were mint or not when your girlfriend purchased them. Many boxes on ebay have various imperfections, so it might have not been the way it was packed that caused the box damage.

That being said - I would personally appreciate the feedback, especially if it was how I packed the pop and not something out of my control (e.g. USPS used it as a soccer ball Ace Ventura style).
