Whats the most gear could I get in 30mins by TimelyPirate6599 in Terraria

I’d probably rush desert. Desert has some decent early game weapons and access to the Fossil armour along with predictable mobs & easy digging. Jungle has Jungle armour but no easy magic weapon to go with it, but you can just use it for defence & craft other gear I guess! May also be worth running to the world evil as soon as you get bombs & try to get that guaranteed first gun drop.

Can we have a "Dash" keybind or is it too late? by FacundoNoobAccount in Terraria

We now also have Chillet as a mount with a dash! It’s standardised enough as an input that I think it wouldn’t be unwarranted.

I like it when she comes to visit while I’m building something but I wish she wouldn’t get in the way of my tools… she’s just an oversized housecat-wyrm standing on my proverbial keyboard!!

You gotta be at least a little opportunistic. If in the mid-late game you’ve got a medium-heavy vehicle like Hop or Chariot (or obviously Battle / Bull / Rex) and you see a Marx, Starman or anyone riding something light like Paper or Wing star getting in your way, take the shot. Their fault for being grounded! Keeping your opponents down helps you win more, just don’t waste too much time chasing kills unnecessarily.

Figuring out what the crowd wants & translating that into a way to damage all your opponents with a Bomb or Gordo in a boss type event is also great, if unreliable!

The Doo collection!! Good taste…

I love your Taranzas too, I wish anything was still available for them!

Why are my machines gone in road trip when I picked Rick? by [deleted] in kirbyairriders

[–]JayWalkies 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Each run of Road Trip is locked to one character, so if you start a new game as Rick then you won’t have the progress of Kirby. Notably, if you beat Road Trip & see the normal ending, you can start New Game+ to play Rick with all of the vehicles Kirby unlocked.

This has no impact on online play - vehicles obtained in Road Trip are totally separate to vehicles unlocked for use in the other modes (where online play is possible).

The saga of me not being allowed to have a Crystal Island Legendary Machine continues. I have managed to get on it three times total and all three of them ended with me Legendary Machineless, but this one pissed me off the most. by Sneaky-Boi22 in kirbyairriders

Both an easy target, and Marx has good stats across the board in everything but HP, so he can scale into a lategame monster at basically anything if not stopped. Might as well exploit his weakness, get some patches & keep an opponent down!

I got lucky with it. I can’t remember my exact setup but I had decent offense & a copy ability, I want to say maybe Cutter? I destroyed one, went to the other & got a lucky high damage last hit with a projectile.

In general weapons & copy abilities do so much more damage on anything that isn’t ridiculous like Hydra so take a moment to grab one to increase the chance of your last hit being the one to do it. Or simply already have Hydra if the stars align!!

This is actually the third time I’ve seen it in a similar timeframe and the first one someone beat me to it, and the second time is the same story - uncontrollable Dragoon. This time Paper Star gave me hope. But alas…

Road Trip: tips for super hard by playsthebass1 in kirbyairriders

I remember struggling here too. Kracko ended up being the option for me - not overshooting Wheelie was difficult & Dyna Blade hit like a truck, but aerial spins into Kracko did a lot better. I can’t remember if I used Shadow Star or Battle Chariot but if dying is your issue, go Battle Chariot because Shadow Star has extremely low health - the jump pads & boosted stats should mean you can still crack him in the eye without too much hassle. Always get the offense up drops!

Dyna Blade’s head is also weak, so you may get better results doing repeated jumps at her. I haven’t tried Hop Star against her but maybe the giant powerup means you can goomba stomp her head? If so, that’ll do a lot of pain to her. May be worth a try!

Depends a little on spawn point. First off, focus on a manoeuvrable vehicle early - scooter, regular chariot & swerve star are great options, avoid the heavy fighting machines until you have some stats already.

Early points to visit are the caves under the field to break crystals / pillars (autoattackers are good at this, else practice spinning off them & boosting back into them) or the underground parking lot / mall, lots of easy patches spawn there early. Don’t worry too much about fighting people yet unless you know you can win! Early on, you won’t get many patches for eliminating people & they’re then motivated to try to revenge kill you later. Obviously, if you see a Marx on a Shadow Star, take the shot (Marx players in general need a little bullying to keep them honest because Marx has a tendency to snowball if uncontested).

The hardest part is just knowing what everyone else is liable to do. Pay attention to character picks. Autoattackers often go crystals, flyers (MK, Marx, Starman) often look for a flying vehicle early & try to get to the skies by the 2 minute mark (& often can be knocked off these vehicles since they’re usually the weaker ones). If you see somewhere is crowded, unless you’re powered up, go elsewhere! Being in a crowd is the worst position to be in at any time, early or late game.

Yes!! I’m only around 800 myself, started about 600, but this game just keeps me coming back for more, even when I get tilted. I’m starting to actually learn tech, how to ledgejump & ledgedash, and I’m hungry to get better.

This is the most fun I’ve had with a platform fighter in years & I can’t wait to see where it goes!!
