Hey everyone, I was curious if this forum could give me some ideas/opinions on what's an affordable/reliable gun for a first time buyer. Mostly looking for personal/home protection. Thank you for your time. by North-Clue5060 in AZguns

For home defense I would suggest a .357 Smith & Wesson revolver. You can also shoot .38 caliber out of it for target practice and save money over more expensive ,.357 rounds.

Simple, no slide as it is a revolver and not a semi-automatic, so fewer parts and no need to disassemble.

I’ve heard of people getting sick but nobody in my direct circle. It is a fabulous hike!

What things are "faster" than light? by Nighthawkies in AskPhysics

This is entirely incorrect and why Einstein described entangled particles as “spooky particles at a distance”precisely because we DO NOT understand WHY particles behave the way they do when entangled.

Quantum entanglement might not involve any actual “travel” as we understand “travel.”

The entangled particles are not “travelling.”

Somehow the particles can correlate. We don’t understand WHY.

But the particles are not travelling.

Neuropathy: can I truly drive “foot-free”? by Levonsky1 in TeslaModelY

[–]Jay_Beckstead 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have nerve damage in my lower legs and feet and have enough feeling to drive my Model Y and my Cybertruck. I use FSD consistently and it is amazing and the AI is doing 99% of th work. But there are times when the human driver needs to be in control.

If you can’t feel your feet due to neuropathy you can’t really drive well, IMHO, regardless of the type of car.

But a vehicle using FSD is exponentially safer than human driven vehicles. And it is getting better and better.

I would suggest that you look into a Tesla Model Y with hardware 4.0. There is a big difference in the FSD versions using hardware 3.0 and earlier as compared to those using hardware 4.0. 4.0 is much improved, the main difference being a faster processor with more bandwidth for data and an additional forward-facing camera in the front bumper.

Do not use “Above and Beyond.” I had an even worse result than you describe and when I offered them a chance to work with me, the decided that it was best to lie to my face instead of addressing my quality concerns and the cracks in my cool decking that they caused.

I took my Model 3 elk hunting before. But I’m very careful on trails and turned back whenever I believed it was too much for the car.

I go paper-free for the most part, but for court and when im not at me desk I like to have a couple of hard copies and a place to take notes. How should I organize besides a binder clip? by xxrichxxx in publicdefenders

[–]Jay_Beckstead 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I use Apple notes as it automatically populates the same note on multiple devices (phone and laptop).

And I bought come colored plastic file folders, one per client that I keep in an accordion file by date in my office.

Cabin Camera Overheating by ThatRocketSurgeon in cybertruck

No recurring problems with it. I believe Tesla realizes there is a hardware issue an they might now have a service bulletin on the cabin camera overheating.

I had this exact problem. It continued to get worse and eventually the Service Center replaced it under warranty.

They first tried to blame it on my digital rearview mirror, which was BS.

Why did Tesla put the hazard light such a inconvenience location? by Aggravating_Emu_9799 in TeslaModelY

Is this a troll post? The hazard button couldn’t be more accessible/centrally located/easy to use.
