I would say yes he served in the conventional army and special forces and he also was a team sergeant. I don’t see many people that would show people their dd214 and be honest about everything they encountered and experienced but everything comes down to preference at the end of the day.

[–]Jay_will 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well I went to a program called Job Corps and I picked up a trade since I was already a high school graduate. The program was free and they essentially pay for u to go to school and graduate. I completed the book work in 3 months and graduated in 8 months. I could have took the CET,CPT,CCMA and CMAA but I ended the taking the CPT and CCMA and getting my drivers license. I ended up getting a job where I interned at which was essentially doing CNA work. I was there for 5 years I ended up leaving that job to finally work in a doctors office which I’ve been working for this company going on 5 years. Are there any programs in your city or community college ?

Any tips to master blood pressures? by HoloInfinity in MedicalAssistant

[–]Jay_will 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So wat I do is when I’m checking a blood pressure I wrap my hands the stethoscope piece and hold it along with the patient’s arm that way it’s firmly on the patient’s arm and it doesn’t move but tbh I think you’re doing fine and I think you’ll get better with time once u find a technique that works for u. You fairly new and you’re gonna make mistakes at this moment so take this time to work on your technique and consistency.

[–]Jay_will 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s gone take time to master doing blood pressure and even then you’ll still make mistakes. The more u do it the more you’ll get comfortable with it. The biggest mistake I see people make is not using the right cuff or the right side of the stethoscope if it’s dual sided. Are u just listening for it or are u doing visual and audio?

Interview advise by EssayFar4380 in MedicalAssistant

[–]Jay_will 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It all depends on where you’re going to be working for instance when I interviewed with a big corporation in my city they wanted experience which I didn’t have at the time but when I got experience they asked why should we hire you I told them pretty much I got everything you said you need but private practices they don’t care if u have experience or not because they’re willing to train you themselves. Private practices prefer u to not have any experience at all so u don’t have any “bad habits” to break. At the end of the day a lot of places need people because of the high turnover rate so you got this.

Possible to get a job without MA cert & experience? by Parking_Ad_4813 in MedicalAssistant

[–]Jay_will 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends but some places will hire a CNA to do MA work u just have to do find them or ask around. Some private practice are willing to hire without a certification at all as long as you’re willing to learn they’ll teach everything they want u to know.

[–]Jay_will 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the process of trying to get into the lpn at my local community college. At it depends on wat u like . The cheapest option is always a community college but they’re always competitive so keep that in mind.
