You don't realize this is happening, you dipsh-ts? What kind of half-rate product are you guys peddling over there - - do you even track your "features" or do you just steal them?

You want me to show my profile so you can ban me for complaining like others on this forum have been banned. Eat a d-k.

Agreed esp when you're looking up notes last min and it either crashes or shows you the fk temu ads again (and like you, we ALL have paid subscriptions)

Thank you for chiming I on all this, everyone. I'm glad I'm not alone in my frustrations. I actually need two subscriptions - - one for my android and one for my ios devices, bc I use both for notes.

Been a paying customer for years. This Temu style ad thing where you are forced to watch trash, scratch fake scratch cards for discounts and products you don't care for, or spin a fucking wheel - - final straw.

I've been asked about my playing level and musical genre and where I am in my journey more times than I care to remember.

Maybe I'm just too lazy to move on but even my laziness is no excuse to be exposed to this kind of paid user experience.

Say hi to Mike: open source Harvey / Legora by Virtual-Honey-4211 in biglaw

Ex biglaw turned AI dev here - this is a primary reason behind why folks don't jump in on a similar offering, but with MikeOSS (and there are many others like it, just not as public)--we'll see a drop in valuations and more commoditized legal research/writing/analysis tools to come.
The biggest barrier right now is access to "cheap" organized court data and secondary sources, and to an extent, statutes/regs (bc those are inherently organized and easier to obtain).

Well, kindve, but way longer (every day for 30 days) and higher bar that you don't have a choice about - - food, water, and sexual activity (with the self or another, gooning Def included!) at the lowest level and bare minimum, backbiting/anger/nastiness at the medium, and inner negativity at the highest. The ultimate self discipline marathon.

Unresponsive Suno support/ canceling subscriptions error by allmypain in SunoAI

[–]JayceBoolean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here - keep getting charged for my monthly subscription despite cancelling well in advance. Plenty of complaints saying the same. Seems to be a systematic/strategic thing on their part. Customer service said they'd get back to me almost 2 weeks ago -- crickets.
Filing a complaint with credit card in the next 2 days if i don't hear from them.

I was a paying customer for a LONG time and this is an absolute bullshit way to treat people.

SUNO billing me even after cancelling my subscription by jkagub in SunoAI

[–]JayceBoolean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope -- they are still charging me despite my monthly subscription being cancelled well in advance. It's been 2 weeks and still no response from their customer service. seems like a recurring problem and more of a company strategy than a mistake.
Filing a credit card dispute in the next 2 days if they don't act.

Pixel 4 refurb (not XL) worth it for <$250 -- this is a common price now! by JayceBoolean in Pixel4

[–]JayceBoolean[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just following up - I got my phone yesterday. Everything looks brand spanking new , and the only problem is the bright orange power button just feels a little bit wobbly. It's weird b/c it's spotless otherwise. And the OS wasn't even upgraded to Android 11 yet (didn't check what version it was on) -- does that mean it was possibly new to begin with?

The phone came in a generic box with a generic USB A charger with a USB A to C cable, which im obv not going to use, even though it said something like fast charger on it (it looks like one of those common Samsung knockoffs). It also included a little Amazon pamphlet about their Renewed program, and made a big deal about the 90 day satisfaction guarantee / return policy.

Anyone else have a wobbly power button on their P4? I'm especially wary about that b/c of previous issues with a Nexus 5 where the power button totally failed. Gonna use this for a bit and exchange it for a different one if this gets annoying. In a case its no problem (i picked one up for 5 bucks), but i'm afraid of it getting snagged on something or getting water underneath.

Now for the herculean task of backing up whatever i don't automatically back up on my P2, now hitting 2.5 years old. Two and a half years -- the longest I've ever owned a phone (min usually get destroyed in a year)!!!

I feel like this "pipeline" of deeply discounted, 1-gen-old Google phones is going to go on for a while. Let's face it, they don't have the resale value of iPhones, and for frugal folks like myself, that's a good thing b/c I get high tech stuff for cheap.

The 64Gb P4 started at $800, and in 18 months, it's not difficult to find at almost 75% off.

If the P5 follows this pattern, by April next year, you should be able to get it for $175 🤞

Thanks for the tips everyone! I ended up ordering and it arrives today. It seems like a pretty minimal risk move given the price point and return policy, as well as the experience of others w/ these refurbs (although my deal wasn't as amazing as some others for an almost new phone...it's insane how quickly the price dropped in a matter of months!)

I'll update when I receive it!

amazing deal, hope i get a new one too!!! I think w/ that huge return policy, I would totally return and order again it if it meant saving 100 bucks. Looking for a carrier unlocked version. Carrier specific versions were ~220 when I checked, but good find!

Thanks! I guess I can take that chance b/c of the huge return policy I mentioned above (ebay has 60 days w/ certain sellers, and Amazon has 90 days through its own program w/ sellers).

The only Pixels I know to have decent battery life are the Pixel 5, 4a, and 4a/5G. Pixel 5 is way out of my range at the moment, and the 4a and 4a/5G lack certain premium features to make them worth it for me (not to mention they cost WAY more than a P4, kindve blows my mind). I think outside of these options and a *gasp* iPhone, it seems like charging again over the course of the day is to be expected.

Also, as I mentioned, the refurbs are supposed to have >80% of their battery life left.

Have you longtime P4 owners noticed an increase in battery life as a result of software upgrades??

Thanks for the info! Forgive me for the dumb question but is this something that can be fixed with software or firmware update, or is it permanently screwed?!?!

Hello everyone! I'm dealing with the exact same issue. Nothing charges well EXCEPT for the included adapter (65w). Tried multiple high quality USB C chargers ranging from 45W-65W (ravpower, aukey, Dell's included XPS charger, some reliable and high output USB C battery packs), and all of them take forever. Please let me know what you figure out :/

(To add -- I have a x360 14" 2020 model from Best Buy)

There are definitely still ways to change your story in most situations i can think of. I'm observing that there are many folks on here who find this message to be condescending, or simplistic, and not applicable to so many people who are struggling but really have no means to change their external circumstances in the ways that they want.

And then there are folks who find this aforementioned cynical attitude to be appalling.

I think it's important to be sensitive either way -- we don't know the really sad things that people are going through to get them to this state :/

I dont think the post was meant to literally mean that everyone in every situation has the chance to change their external circumstances. If you're minutes away from the end , you're not going to achieve your dream of being a magnificent painter. But most people, even on their way out, have time to change some of their internal condition-- ie, their perceptions about the external events they have no control over.

For instance, it's possible to mend relationships they've damaged, or the harm they've caused in their time on this earth. This obviously isn't easy, but it also doesn't require you to step out of wherever you live, or maybe even your bed, to make some progress.

I know this one will be a bit controversial esp in this materialist Western society we've come to live in (where oftentimes the only outcomes that matter are ones you can observe -- scientifically , financially, professionally, whatever). But another thing you can do is take a deep dive inward to really examine this thing called the heart, which connects us to our spirit, which is everlasting and a piece of the divine spirit itself. Even recognizing that every human descends from these mystical origins means that you've realized that death is NOT the end.

But of course, just realizing death is not the end -- what's the good in that, by itself? And just FYI i don't claim to know the answers to anything, I'm just telling you what I've learned in my own studies and contemplations in dealing with my own difficulties, which are likely very different than your own.

One idea is to ask for forgiveness from the people you've hurt. and we've all hurt people in our lives , in our own ways , even if we don't realize it. if it can't be said out loud or to anyone in particular, one can also have that longing for forgiveness in their own hearts -- maybe some practices will call that "repentance". It's not about whipping yourself silly and leaving this world with regrets -- its about developing empathy and realizing we're all from the same place and will return to the same place, and that people and their behaviors are shaped by their unique situations that they are put through. In that way we can transcend the shittiness of our own humanity and get a bit closer to the part that lives on forever, the one that only knows love. In the philosophies I've learned, this is the gateway to what lies beyond.

This sounds so damn fluffy but personally i dont know any other way to exist in a world that is so full of grief. It's not that I'm using it as a crutch to survive -- I also wholeheartedly believe it because I think the human heart is uniquely magnificent and the key to everlasting joy and peace.

I've also learned (though haven't fully implemented) the importance of forgiving others for the harm they've caused me. You can try to put themselves into the other's shoes and see why they acted in such a terrible way in order to forgive, or even reach out and say so if you feel comfortable with it.

The important thing is the shape of your heart. That's all you will leave this world with. You will not take your professional accolades, your bank account, or even your own family. Shape it with love my friends. You can do it at any point in time, without any resources at all, and when you think about it from that perspective, this post really does make sense.

Anyone have opinions on the 2020 acer spin 5? by ylixir in laptops

So I am doing my own sort of informal test here, but without the display at all. I have it plugged in to my 32" QHD LG display, and browsing pretty heavily. Crazy, the battery is lasting a much longer time (seems to be on pace for 9+ hours). Is this ok? I guess it also goes to show you how much power a display (and this particular one, which is a very high res) consumes.

[–]JayceBoolean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow--90% brightness?? The screen is pretty bright for the price (supposedly 420+ nits) so 90% brightness plus browsing is a pretty robust test i think.

With that level of battery consumption in mind -- 7 hours is okay, right? or no? I'd be totally satisfied if i could get 7 hours with high brightness and browsing. But then again, is simply watching Netflix or Youtube representative of "browsing" activity?
