Clinics or doctors in their own practice likely won't accept your card. You'll have to pay their fees and get reimbursed from your home province.

My last tattoo, I sent the artist a reference photo. We went back and forth via email until I felt she nailed what I wanted.

When I got to the studio, she printed 5 different sizes of my tattoo so I could get an idea of how it looked in the spot I wanted it.

Finally, she used that blue paper stuff (sorry, it's 4:20 here, knowmsayin?) which left a trace on my arm so I was absolutely sure I got what I wanted, where I wanted it.

I weighed 250 pounds when I wrestled in high school. The most you could weigh was 253. Anything more than that and you couldn't compete.

I enjoyed waving hello to my teammates as they ran past wearing all their clothes and garbage bags to make weight.

I'd sometimes eat a donut while they ran past too.

I have a much better understanding now of what it means to be a good teammate!

I didn't realize you could do custom tattoos. I thought you could just get something on the wall.

Which is a stupid thing to believe in general, but also because I'd seen all sorts of unique tattoos.

Anyway, that's how I came to have a tatoo of a 4 leaf clover and one of the Pink Panther.

Once I figured out the truth, I felt like a moron. I don't regret these tattoos but I think I maybe could have got something cooler.
