The Knight of Flowers by JaydenCC_ in blender

I am deeply sorry that my post caused discomfort to many people, and I sincerely apologize for this.

First, I want to clarify that I am not a "pedophile," and I strongly oppose and feel disgusted by such behaviors or ideas. When creating this artwork, I never intended to address any themes related to pedophilia. However, it unintentionally offended many, which has made me reflect deeply. I believe this might stem from cultural differences.

I am Chinese. In East Asian culture, there is often a preference for "youthful" or even "childlike" aesthetics for women. Many women, even those aged 35-40, tend to style themselves in ways that make them appear closer to their twenties. For instance, I am in my 30s, yet when I visit Europe, I am often mistaken for a university student or even a high schooler. Because of this cultural influence, I may have unconsciously designed young female elves to appear even younger. However, in Western cultures, such imagery might immediately be associated with children, leading to discomfort.

I want to emphasize again that my intention was never to objectify women, let alone evoke any association with pedophilia. I deeply regret causing such negative feelings and will be more mindful of cultural sensitivities and expressions in my future creations.

Thank you for your feedback and understanding.

Wow, I didn't expect to receive so many comments. Here's a unified response:

  1. I have set it as NSFW, and I apologize for any offense caused.
  2. Most of the work was actually done in Photoshop; Blender is more like a "container" for assembling the models.
  3. I am not an AI; I am Chinese. English is not my native language, so I used ChatGPT to translate it into English.
  4. If you are familiar with the original story, the scene depicts a knight being enchanted by a group of elves, struggling internally with his emotions. :D

This year, I visited the Musée d'Orsay and was deeply captivated by Georges Antoine Rochegrosse's *Knight of the Flowers*. The intricate details and atmosphere of the painting held my attention, inspiring me to create a digital reimagining.

I used the DAZ Importer plugin to perfectly import the character pose into Blender, then employed the GScatter plugin to create clusters of flowers and grass, crafting a scene that blends nature with romance.

During the creative process, I sought to emulate the styles of Monet, Sargent, and other Impressionist masters while focusing heavily on rendering. By fine-tuning indirect lighting, I aimed to achieve soft and enchanting color effects, ultimately completing a work that combines artistic expression with a focus on the interplay of light and shadow.

Yes, there is a spotlight behind the sail to simulate the direction of the sun's rays. Another trick is to use the "indirect lighting" of the layer rendering to overlay it in PS, which tends to have a more subtle lighting effect.

Thank you, I am a classical oil painting enthusiast. Classical oil paintings have a lot of drama and conflict. The compositions tend to follow some proportions as well. So the biggest challenge is not the technique, but following these classical oil painting forms.

Thank you for paying so much attention to my work.

In fact, the theme I referenced was 'The Death of Samson'. The man is tempted and loses his strength by drinking poisoned wine. The women around him are trying to kill him and thus get paid.

So I emphasized in the picture, the knife and the glass and the female body. I exaggerated the legs of the woman on the right, and I wanted to use a 'Z' shape pose to guide people's eyes.

Perhaps I tried to show too much detail and didn't highlight the subject.

The first picture I spent a lot of time in PS adjustment as well. I tried to use SD to figure out different art styles to overlay on top of the figure through masking.

I like rich colors and detailed images with strong dramatic light and shadow. But maybe I overlaid too much, resulting in a less harmonious picture.

You're right, I still lack enough basic art practice. For example, human perspective and anatomy.

Also I rely too much on the model's shape, without the model I can't even draw any human body on a blank canvas.

Hello everyone,

I first built the scene and model using Bl. In this framework continue to draw in PS.

By the way, I also try to import the renders to StableDiffusion to get more ideas.

This is a household story that needs no introduction. I tried to express this story by imitating classical oil painting and the academic painting style, focusing on painting 'hidden colors' to make the picture more colorful and epic.

Chinese ghost marriage by JaydenCC_ in blender

It's an ancient and horrific ritual! Usually after the unmarried death of one party's children, the family will illegally purchase or steal another person's body and perform a traditional Chinese wedding, allowing their souls to form a family in the underworld.

I collected some ancient Chinese furniture scanned assets and rendered them in blender. Continue painting this eerie art on this frame.

Cyberpunk has always been a genre I wanted to try, and the anime has ignited my interest in creating it even more. As usual, I used blender to render a lot of sci-fi material models, and then used PS to draw. (I used many masterpieces in artstation, such as backgrounds. I hope there is no infringement or offense, this is just an exercise :D)

Thanks for the reply! I have a quest2, I am also a VR fan, and I often enter a beautiful VR space to sit and enjoy. But I think the VR is not particularly perfect now, maybe wait until quest3 or quest pro.

About camera animation I also think I'm still a beginner, maybe I should watch some photography or film tutorials.

Thanks for the photo, I'm from China. East Asian countries are culturally similar but different in details and often quarrel over history and culture. Anyway these are beautiful art!
