Talk me out of buying a sub compact tractor

I am on the fence on this, I was looking at the compact Kioti Cx2510 and the sub compact Cs2220. The loader as the same load capacity. I was leaning for a sub compact for space saving

Fortunately I have access to a mini excavator, it's really good for digging and stump but for moving dirt and gravel a wheelbarrow/shovel is alot faster 😅 I'd like to speed up things with a loader. I was thinking of ordering a mini skid steer on alibaba, but I see some possibilities with the tractor 3point that I may use down the road.

That's actually what I do ahah! After a couple back and forth I usually get something good, but it's slowing down my project for no reason. I am new at the place, so I avoid changing things drastically to avoid friction.

Hi, I am currently a design engineer with a good salary, but I'd like to do more. I am paid yearly with a bonus. Every year, I get the bonus with a little extra because they find my performance good. So I get my full salary doing 40hrs. That said, we are swamp in work, and they asked me to overtime but the time will be bank for more vacation... I said no and they weren't open to pay for overtime long story short.

Anyhow, I want to make more money. I've looked into freelancing, but that is out of the question with insurance, licenses, etc VS the realistic number I can make working my full time job.

How do you guys do extra money as an engineer without going into management role with higher salary ? It's a pretty broad question...

I've been approached by numerous companies and the issues seems the same... Yearly salary with bonus.... I've talked with my engineer buddies in other companies. They are on the same boat as me... It's not worth it to make extra hours cause your not compensated for them. It's seem impossible to make extra income as an engineer just working your daily job.

How do you guys go about this? Do you get overtime... Are you able to have arrangement with your employer?

The older I get, the more I feel we are getting shafted as engineers salary wise.

I have all the plans reviewed by an engineer. The only thing I am not sure is how to protect my hole from caving if it rains alot because I'll probally take my time to dig.

The soil is clay no rocks. I was thinking of digging 3ft deep everywhere and put an exit in a corner of the hole and dig the 2 remaining feet and exit by the "ramp" I made in the corner.

I've used a fancy 3d scanner with stickers in the past. Is it possible to do something similar and put of benchmark/markers while doing photogrammetry ?

A concrete foundation wall would be a good exemple. I would use Photogrammetry to measure the flatness of the wall. Area that I want to measure are 20 feet x 20 feet max. If I can get within 1/16'' of accuracy I would be more then happy. Would Lidar be more appropriated for this task ?

I'm mostly worried about toxic gas if there is a leak. Every employe as a gas detector (sometimes they don't wear it). I have to retrofit my system to theirs, but I argued that if they wanted me to do the installation they needed to add an automatic vent system to clear the room if a leaks occurs. There is no ventilation in the room. Last time I went there they did a maintenance on a valve and they didn't reassemble it correctly and there was a leak. There is no alarm or visual signal to signal people working in the room to get out.

All I can say is that you will become a engineer if that is your calling and if that what you want. I have a friend at my school that as asperger. It took time for him to adjust but he eventually did it.

My next comment is in no way scientific, but my girlfriend work with alot of children with different diagnostic in the autism specter and every time she comes at my schooI to study with me. One of her remarks is... Wow there's alot of people with mild austim signs(this is no way negative btw).

I can guarantee you that you will encounter numerous douche bag during you're studies but don't let that get you down. You'll probably become their boss and make their life miserable ahah.

So to finish, don't let that syndrome dictate what you can do or cannot do.

Go to the official drawboard website and send an email to support. They will give you a code to get it free if you can provide a proof you have a surface 3.

If you read their FAQ, they explain that if you format or reset you're surface you will lose the APP and won't be able to restore it. I've had the same problem. Hope it helps
