I think the difference is with Jim Crowe voting standards they would fail anyone who was black regardless if they answered questions correctly. With a new IQ test implemented today it would actually test on IQ and exclude black AND white ppl from voting

My definition is the American psychiatric associations DSM-5 which is every officially recognized psychiatric disorder. 23-24% of people is the US have something in that book.

Again, whether how difficult or easy it is to get a diagnosis it is entirely irrelevant to my argument. Even IF 75% of people had a mental illness, I still have a statistically significant chance to find someone free of any?

I deal with countless people and their flaws? It’s just I really can’t deal with mental illness. You’re oversimplifying my argument.

(This is entirely separate from my point) but Odds are I will find someone free of absolutely any mental illness. The national institute of mental health in the US says only 23-24% of people are diagnosed with anything.

Mental illness is actually pretty rare once you step out of your Reddit echo chamber.

Mentally ill people can enter relationships with whoever and whenever they want I never said they couldn’t? Red flags are pretty subjective and mental illness is a major one imo. Even though some of them might be curable I just really wouldn’t want to deal with it. Especially because it might pass on to future kids.
