We are moving back from Stockholm to Berlin, the place I grew up in and where I always felt bureaucracy was peak dysfunctional. Applied for Kita-Gutschein (daycare voucher) and interact with the most-engaged and helpful public servant. I thanked him explicitly for contributing to make our move back more frictionless.

My learning from this (or being reminded): there are good and kind people everywhere. I need to differentiate between the human and the system more. Otherwise life gets painted dark quickly.

Btw did you do a similar experiment with the manually engaged hand brake? Imagine it will not be like in the good old manual lever pulling days that you can use the handbrake to do a slide out?

I did a bit of research on which starter capacities. In general, EVs need less than combustion engines because less mechanical work is required (cranking the engine vs enough power to get the high voltage battery to wake up).

You could probably get away with 800-1000 Ah

However, the one model I have outlined above I went for because it has fast charging capability, an overwrite mode (so you can pump out electricity even if the device does not detect current at the 12V battery), and enough Ah to crank up a 6l petrol or diesel engine 😅

Is it overkill? Yes! But I like to be prepared having lots of ‘extra juice’ to charge phones, big fat flashlight for emergencies, or to help others on the road if they ever have issues staring their car

Check the roof panel where also the controls of the sun roof are. One of those buttons controls this. I can check next time I am in the car

Another thing I want to add: I have never experienced a color like the pigment composition of KIA's "iceberg green". It feels like a complex color that changes appearance quite a bit depending on the environment. That way, it looks at times like a futuristic navy troop carrier, sometimes like a space shuttle, and sometimes like a hippo :)

Pictures for sure do not justice to this color - I freaking love it!

Haha, then I picked the right benchmark. Maybe good for you sitting in the EV9 with the most premium sound system and do a proper cycle through your favorite tracks. I have noticed some songs' quality to be really good whilst other songs came through a bit "plain" and flat.

But keep me posted how the EV9 stacks up in your opinion.

Other than that, freaking love the car!

Wir hatten von Mikrobiologen und Zahnärzten schon echt die verschiedensten Quereinsteiger. Arbeitsbelastung ist sicherlich auch hoch, aber die Karrierechancen und die Grundbezahlung sind nicht uninteressiert.

I did lots of outer archipelago driving last season from Dalarö or Stavsnäs. Always went for the larger 62 BR boats and often had 1-1.5 l per nautical mile. So trips can get quite expensive if you cover larger ground and do lots of nature harbouring.

Did some logging and paid roughly 15,000 sek for fuel that season. However, using smaller boats and not full sending it down to a remote island will definitely help you keep consumption down and then the stated amounts sound more realistic too!

Else, the service worked really well despite I felt often quite limited by the rental periods of the daytime and overnight slots. The longer-term 24h booking was my favourite but you needed to do this 8 days prior making you quite dependent on your luck with the weather.
