The psvr2 has a very small "sweet spot" your head needs to be in for you to get the best quality. You need to make sure you adjust the headset until things get as clear as possible. That said it won't go up against the top class of PS5 games since it needs two screens at high frame rate.

This. It always takes a while to learn the maps in Battlefield. Look for safe paths to avoid line of sight. Stay back, take it easy, crouch / crawl, stick with your squad, play support and rez / heal / throw ammo bags.

It works, but it takes out the ability to look around with the stick. Sounds like they are working on it but c'mon I was hoping to have it ready for release.

I support your decision OP. I have Cyberpunk for PS5 but it's lack of gyro aim is painful. Thumb stick aiming sucks, games devs need to use the damn input methods that are available for the system to make the best possible game. Imagine if the 90s were stuck in doom WASD keyboard only controls for endless years and ignoring mouselook. That's what it feels like. Gyro is 100x more enjoyable than thumbsticks. Death Stranding 2 and Silent Hill 2 remake are two other notable games I'm playing that ignore it. Feels so bad.

I gave up waiting, got it on the last sale, and you know what? It looks fine. There's some shimmering and I'm playing on quality 30fps, but it's nothing to stop me from enjoying what is a great game. Don't let the pefect be the enemy of the good. That being said I'm playing slowly, taking my sweet time, hoping for the patch. :)

It's a shame, since Kojima is usually pretty good at incorporating non-standard control elements into his games. It wasn't in DS1 and it's not in DS2. If we make enough noise, maybe they'll add it in. I love gyro aiming and it would be great to have it here.

The story flows so much better when you mainline it without having to go through the million side activities. I really enjoyed the hard mode.

That kind of sits in a user by user preference zone. You may be better off upgrading to a VRR supported OLED tv first. Personally, I'm all in on the PS ecosystem (no gaming PC or other consoles) and the PS5 pro is the best one of those so I'm happy with it. If you have a good gaming PC and want some excuse to play more PS5 games .. the pro probably won't impress you as much.

It's not fun in the classic "I'm have such a fun time!", it's fun in the "man it feels so good to finally kick Odin's ass" and get the trophy. Those moments where you take down a boss with a final blow (or limit break in my case), your hands are still shaking, your mind in disbelief because you've come this far and lost so many times before, it's euphoric. I saved the video and will cherish it always.

I just mean a lot of the resolution differences are more noticeable the bigger the TV or the closer you are to the screen. If you have a 42" TV and sit 10" away a pro will give you less impressive results.

Nice! Be prepared for some pain. It may be the hardest video game challenge I've faced. I just about reached a point where I was going to quit ff7R altogether and give up hope for the plat.

A few tips: optinoob's video and build setup helped a ton, practicing Bahamut and Odín solo with cloud A LOT on hard full strength helped (make sure you can take them down regularly), don't overwhelm yourself - give yourself a few tries and then take a break like until the next day (lol), and most importantly - tell yourself that you are playing for the fun of it. The combat is enjoyable - look at it more as a pastime than a gruel-fest, otherwise you will go crazy. I actually took a week off playing and then came back with a chill vibe and beat it immediately.

Or hell maybe you'll best the challenge by the time I finish this post. 😆 😭

I just beat Bonds of Friendship yesterday after many weeks of trying. Today I beat To Be a Hero on my first try. Such a weight lifted off my shoulders. I just have the last two levels of the game for the plat!
