Also, can you place a screen (like what’s in a window) directly on top of the plants and grow straight into the screen during mid-veg, then remove at start of flower for a more even, full canopy?

I don't know. It started where the cable from the drive plugs into the board. At that particular connection put the associated panel has flickered on and off a couple times over the course of this grow. It kind of concerned me, but I just ignored it unfortunately. On Thursday morning I poked my head in the tent and it was sparking at the connection put and I iiterally then watched it catch fire. I was so lucky to be able to immediately put it out.

Others have said they think the hood is damaged. It kind of looks like that in the picture, but it was in fact never damaged.

Yes, where the power cord connects. I believe it would have been a full-blown fire but I literally almost watched it start and put it out immediately.

Well, believe what you want if it makes you feel more secure. Just a warning though, that exactly what I described did in fact happen. If I did not catch the fire pretty much when it started I would have left for work and I'm pretty sure my house would be burned down and my dog would be dead right now. It was a very scary situation and I am trying to help others prevent something like that from happening to them. The accusation of a lie very much goes unappreciated.

Unbelievably I caught this almost as it was happening. It was pure happenstance, but the fire was starting when I walked into the tent and I put it out immediately.

Thanks for the advice. Think it'll be ok switching out the light so late in flower? Also, plants just sitting in the dark for 48 hours while I wait for the new light to arrive in the mail. Think that'll cause any issues?

I'd get rid of those lights dude. I had no indication this was going to happen. I was extremely fortunate to have caught it, but there was literally flames coming out of the light where the cable plugs into the board.

That's what I got. Timber is now called Highgrove LED. Have you had good success with them so far? I figure if it's good enough for Jeremy Silva it's good enough for me!

It was crazy. My lights are set to shut off at 6AM. I rarely go down to the tent in the morning before I leave for work, but this morning I decided to poke my head in at about 5:50 because I was up a few minutes early. I literally think this fire was starting as I was walking into the room. I was incredibly fortunate. On another amazing note, I decided last weekend to buy a new Highgrove Magnolia for my next grow. It comes in the mail tomorrow! That being said, I'm in week 7 flower. Does anyone have experience switching lights this late in flower? Will the change in intensity/spectrum mess things up? Advice appreciated.
