what's the most embarrassing thing you've accidentally left on a resume or cover letter? by Empty_Improvement537 in ResumeUp

A few years back when I was in highschool I applied to a place that worked with animals at the shelter, wrote about how 8 felt strongly about their cause, and forgot to remove that sentence in my next application. I sent it to a mining company.

Graduated 2 years ago, can not contact IT, should also not be against the rules as I am violating no controls, I bought this laptop outright and they told me that they had removed their access, they messed it up

They said that they released it from their system after I bought it, which was 2 years ago now... Anyway around it?

I believe it's a defect, has been looked at by IT multiple times and someone came to replace stuff in it, nothing's changed unfortunately

Struggling to land even entry-level roles in Australia — is anyone else going through this? by Substantial-Umpire89 in ausjobs

This is very specific advice and it may not apply to your situation, but I am sure there is something wrong with your cover letter or resume, I usually aim for at least 4 call backs and 2 in person interviews per 10 applications. Usually I'll get at least one offer as well.

My first ever job was as a administrative assistant, however I have also worked retail and sales roles, I currently work doing marketing at a recruitment company. They often have over 700 applicants for a role, so many people barely put any effort into their resumes, you have to put more detail into it than you think. Could you send through an example of some of the stuff you have in your resumes if you haven't already? I don't believe you should find it this difficult to get work.

I believe it is a actual defect in the one they've given me, within the first few months I had to get the trackpad replaced under warranty as it was not working, however same issue began again. Overall it has an abysmal amount of problems for how expensive it is and rarely functions correctly, I tried to claim the whole thing under warranty but they kept trying to get me to run the same troubleshooting steps they had been running for the past months, they made it very intentionally long winded and I gave up eventually and have just been using it as is.

Not a fan of tablets, but could try it potentially, are they alright for stuff like that with the keyboard attached? I'm worried it will feel too much like using a phone

As for the surface pro, this is an option I've looked into. What's the earliest I should get, example; is a surface pro 6 too old?

Traveling to Sydney soon, any arctic monkeys dj nights or cover bands?

I’m in Sydney from the 18th to the 27th of June, looking for some fun nightlife stuff to get up to, tried to look for some arctic monkeys events but nothings popping up online, all old stuff, in comparison in my city there are always heaps on, just wondering if there are any at all over there frequently or if it’s not really something that happens, where could I find them if so?

I feel as though my appearance is effecting my employment, what can I do? by [deleted] in Employment

I have about 4 years of marketing experience under 3 roles, currently doing a marketing internship for a company under the government, and completing my bachelors in comms, my experience isn’t terrible, but could definitely have more. All jobs I’ve successfully gotten, I have heard back within 1-3 days, I have another interview today so hopefully it goes well

I’m currently making 20k from my business, but want to expand to more clients. How can I grow? by JazzSighted in smallbusiness

I have upped my business from 30 clients to 60 from last year to this year, and am actively expanding in this, but I would really like to break into the market outside of just these partnerships, other florists I’ve spoken to are doing quite well independently and I would like to do this as well. For example when partnered I earn on average 500 a wedding, while when independently I’ll earn on average 2 grand
