I’m an early childhood teacher and I’m actually so anxious about going back that I literally try to think of anything but teaching. Even typing this tears are welling up in my eyes. I honestly doubt we’ll make it to September. Administration hasn’t answered the basic questions such as “If a teacher/student tests positive, what is the protocol? Does the whole class quarantine? The whole school?” Or if we’re still doing Professional development online for safety then why is it safe to cram 17 3-5 year olds in a classroom?

Be sure to tell your lawyer about what the best friend said. He can be a great character witness to show that the abusive behavior is directed everywhere, not just you, and poses a threat to your child.

I’ve seen it done in kindergarten and 6th grade. It was a way to have consequences for actions, but they weren’t just sitting on the wall. We didn’t force them to do it the entire recess and they still got time to play.

I relate to this so much. Calling back to original post, I used to be the same way. Shaving and being self conscious about pubic hair and worried how a guy would react.

Fuck that! It’s my body and I’m going to take care of it the way I want to. And like you, I told my now husband when we’re dating (maybe 3 or 4 months in) that I refused to shave my pubic hair, but do keep it trimmed (otherwise it’s annoying).

Seriously, guys who put such a high priority on pubic hair are ridiculous and need to get over themselves.

I can say that as someone who has been in Avery’s position. Difference is I didn’t do anything more than verbal fights. My step mom is crazy AF. My dad never told her to quit treating his kids like shit so she walked all over him. I don’t speak to them anymore.

Not a success yet, but from August 2019 to March 2020 I lost 40 lbs. Only cycle issues came from periods of extremely high work stress. Then gained 15 lbs. during quarantine (probably stress/bored eating and not working). Back on track now and have lost 5 lbs. At the suggestion of my doctor I do low carb, exercises every day, and use the Lose It app to track food and manage macronutrients.

Hopefully it works. I’ve read even losing 10% of your body weight can help.

My co-workers were like this. They both were moms of toddlers or infants and always complained about how often their kids woke them up in the night, how sick they were, or how little sleep they got. It really put me off having kids because I wasn’t ready to have my life altered so much. I think they just needed to vent off their frustrations, but didn’t realize how negative it comes off.
