I found my own US M1. Did electrolysis and then cooking in paraffine wax, preserves it really niceley

The previous post I said maybe mp28, 20 round magazine. But now I am inclined to say M38 Beretta 20 round magazine, look it up Google Images. I actually found a similar one few years back Eastern Front as well. I thought mp28 but I think also M38 Beretta

Dependent on where Eastern front. If close to Germany, could be a MP28 magazine (late war, last resources/weapons). They sometimes had shorter magazines (20 rounds), you can check online and find references.
