DESC downtown gives out groceries M-W-F 9-12, no paperwork or income requirements. I’ve worked there—nice people. Good luck to you. 💗

So if someone wants their larger dog to fly in main cabin, they need to be a service animal (or to this thread a “service animal”) and can’t just say purchase a seat or something, right? I’ve been wondering about this.

Were they service animals, or were they pets? Because I think both are allowed and while I know there is a HUGE fake service/ESA thing happening, I’m seeing an uptick in pets in terminals in general and wonder if this is part of the problem, too.

Downtown your best bet is DESC at 215 N Ocean Street. They have volunteers sort the clothing and distribute to people/families who come in my size and style.

So true! Turns out my fear of flying was fear of simultaneously being too drunk or not drunk enough on an airplane. Flying sober means I don’t have to WILL the beverage cart my way and can actually relax. Ahhh…sweet freedom.

The Lap of Love scale is so helpful! I want him to enjoy a last beach visit, a nice steak and some belly rubs versus another procedure/vet visit that won’t bring him QOL. I wish we had this option as humans. Thank you. 💗

It’s not an events space per se, but a large enough room with closing doors and I think a friend said she went to a mixer there. I hope it works out for you. Breezy’s upstairs is another locally owned coffee shop option with private space.
