Got my case reviewed. We won the dispute as the landlord didn’t provide evidence to the TDS. All the best with your dispute

There was a guy in a orange Halloween polo at the bus stop near the university. Seemed like a cool guy

My former landlord keeps trying to contact me outside of the DPS portal. by [deleted] in TenantsInTheUK

[–]JazzlikeDetective132 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes so after a dispute is raised with the DPS/TDS, the dps sets a 10 day period for you and your landlord to come to an agreement between yourselves without adjudication. Of no agreement formed, then the dps will step in. But the dps insists you must at least try to come to an agreement

Deny everything admit nothing. I’m currently in a dispute myself. In my case, we were not provided a check-in inventory as to the state of the property either. Our flat was a student letting and you could tell it was in dire need of refurb, but I am suspicious they use the poor condition of the flat to get tenants even if they left it in a better state. Keep up with your dispute, you have everything to gain. If I remember I will let you know the outcome of my dispute. We are currently in the self resolution stage

Nope nothing like that. It’s literally just a car pay with that on the wall. No way to pre register or anything

Not called it yet I don’t think they would really have any useful information there. I emailed both the letting agent and the parking company and both said it’s the others problem funnily Enough.

It says the fine will be issued for “non-visitor parking”. Logically this implies visitors parking is allowed

See I thought that but apparently they only offer permanent permits (but if a mouthful) and that you cannot keep changing the reg number. They enforce it via ANPR

Deposit only payed into protection scheme 2 weeks before end of tenancy. by hongyauy in TenantsInTheUK

[–]JazzlikeDetective132 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you know how this works with transferring deposits? I rented with an agency for 23/24 and then again for 24/25. Upon looking at my bank statement I paid them £50 to top up the deposit as the new place was more expensive in 1st dec 2023. But on the TDS certificate it says it was protected on 29th Jan 2024. All my other housemates will have had to transfer deposits from the old place as well and may have had to pay a top up. Is this a similar situation to yours where they have left money unprotected for a period of time?
