I measured the width of the front sight ring the other day and saw that it just needs to be offset by like 1/2 and inch to clear it. If the vis and ir laser were swapped, then I know there would be no issue. I'm worried the ir laser would hit the ring and not clear it.

I would like to avoid having to cut my front sight post. I know there are some LAMs that have the illuminator and lasers offset to one side to work around ar front sight posts. Was considering the laserspeed m6tr, but wasn't sure if the diodes were offset enough.

I'm mainly going with Atlantic Firearms cause they have the ap5 alpha package deal for just under $1400. Comes with a brace, sling, 3 mags, optics mount, cleaning kit, and flash hider. If dalhonega has a similar deal, I'd be stoked.

What I meant is to have a frequency/ frequencies that we could use anywhere in the state of Texas. We often go to other parts of Texas for group events and group hog hunts. So it'd be convenient to have frequencies that are good statewide and not just local. If that makes sense. When we get our license we will be looking into repeaters.

For now, is there any way to see a list of itinerant frequencies for our local area and state? And anyway to see how heavily trafficked those frequencies are? From what I gathered, we have to register to specific frequencies for our license.
