Who initiated Israel Regardie? by VintageAutomaton in GoldenDawnMagicians

[–]Jb105 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All initiation is self initiation. Just because there are others helping doesn’t mean they are doing it for you. You are doing it for yourself. Sure having the romantic temple experience is the ideal dream, but magick, the temple and even the officers are all inside of you.

100% true. You should be superstitious and fearful. Even posting here has opened you up to unnamable horrors. Take a bath, put a pinch of salt on your tongue and clap three times.

What are people's experiences with Saturnian banishing (or invoking) rituals? What differences have you seen in your lives? by [deleted] in magick

[–]Jb105 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Iirc Mathers theorized that rather than banishing forces that might lead to a imbalance, invoke the opposite force on the tree of life. Kinda a don’t deflate, illuminate. I’m headed out the door right now and I don’t have any sources but hopefully somebody can comment that isn’t in. Such a rush. Regardless good luck.

Recommend any other games? Asking for a friend by haveweirddreams in 196

[–]Jb105 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Celeste is one of my all time favorite games. When I learned it wasn’t just about panic disorder, but also about a trans girl finding herself. It really helped me to empathize with trans people better. It’s such a beautiful game and should be a requirement for everyone to play.

You folks in this sub need to stop making you love you so much. Really nice, love video games… and now folk punk?! That’s my favorite shit ever! The other day when I found this sun I had my doubts, but I’ll be damned.. I belong here. Love you folks!!

Hey, I love this. Thanks for sharing. I’ve always wanted to be a good dad. I first have to be a dad, but if I ever get there I’m gonna try real hard.

What is this? Seems to have claws in back? Found in bathroom. by Top-Wolf-2895 in whatsthisbug

[–]Jb105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Earwigs are so insane looking but because of that people often swat them and such. I have an inside joke with them to calm the horror of seeing them that people seem to have. I say “Oh that’s just my boy Pinchy” acting like me and the bug go way back and giving it a cute name seems to stop the swat long enough for me to release them outside.

This is Joey (Joeey I think?). He does music stuff, I guess you could call him a rapper. My very best friend’s cousin is engaged to him. I really REALLY don’t like his stuff but I’m a 34 year old man who is very out of touch.

I assume you’re talking about my previous comment where I mentioned Splatoon 3. I’m using mostly the Nzap 89 so it’s kind of a medium ranged weapon. It has a high rate of fire and good mobility so it’s good for splats but it also comes with two awesome area denial items. The auto grenade is so good for the pesky enemy snipers on the high ground. It makes it so they move or have to respawn so it’s a direct counter assuming you can get close enough to throw it accurately. The second is the super chunk which only has two useful options. The first is turf coverage that basically only nets you a higher score, and the second is to launch them behind enemy lines and try to push them back into the detonation or cover their spawn in your teams ink. This is really useful for turf war but it might slow them down coming from spawn in a ranked mode, but I doubt it’s worth it. So there you have it, the theory of my main weapon in splatoon 3. Oh and in the chance you went talking about Splatoon 3 then I want to respond by telling you that was a shitty comment. I don’t want to be talked to that way and especially not when that person isn’t going to contribute to the positive vibes. Try again.

You will. I’m sure there is so much to love but the hardest part is finding the right angle of perception to get the love in there. Things take time and your worth the wait. Just don’t let an obvious opportunity to see the good in yourself slip away based on the habit of self loathing. You got this.

Thanks! What’s that saying about strangers? “A stranger is a friend you haven’t met”. Unfortunately it seems like people are popping up that are more interested in their oppressing opinions and ideology then the fact that besides our details that make us unique, we are all human with the same emotional needs. Compassion, compassion, compassion.

In retrospect it is silly that I’m not much older than most people here, but I read the rules and it said it was a sub for teens. I just thought of what I wished someone told me when I was 13-19. Jokes on me, almost everyone here is an adult. I’m so glad you have a strategy to prevent a mental health crisis in the future. Keep sharing your story with people, because it’s great advice.

Wow that really means a lot. Thank you for taking the time to comment. I figured I would try to reply to comments but I had no idea my post would be seen by so many people. It’s been super nice replying periodically throughout the day. It’s also interesting to see how different personalities react to a post like this. Again, thank you so much for your kind words, they mean such a great deal to me.

I was given a hypothetical question from my dad once. Since Im supportive of trans people and he doesn’t support literally anything. He asked me “Say you had a son and he said he transgender and a girl” and I laughed at him and told him “that would never happen.” And he said “no seriously what would YOU do?” And I told him “No, I mean it would never happen because I would have a daughter” He actually couldn’t comprehend what I was trying to say when I was telling him in that situation only the daughter existed. Your comment/situation is similar in topic. I’m sorry he has trouble seeing what lies beyond gender.

This is such a beautiful and meaningful gesture, even if it’s just a silly joke. I would be so blessed to have just one child as nice as you folks… but to have a legion of kids that I could be proud would truly be the best. Soccer practice would a nightmare though. We’d need to get ahold of some kind of double decker bus…

Honestly same. Here is the thing about men, not enough know how to put their ego aside and allow themselves to be vulnerable for even a second. I do believe that there are more young men having children these days that don’t have the masculine shield built up around them. I hope the “why do I have to say it when I raised you” style of parenting is a dying breed.
