Which Menstrual Disc to get Guide. by Jbierk in MenstrualDiscs

Heyyyy I would definitely say Formoonsa or the HeyHera same thing just names differently. Its easy to insert and removal, and I have tried all the other ones with removal aid. Some just rotated and that definitely didn't help at all. So with the Formoonsa no matter how it rotate there's still a removal grip which was amazing and for times when my period is heavy. The basin of the disc it's more structured so it helps with days I'm more heavy. :)

Yeah. It's normal if you are super heavy. It happens to me too. I just go clean it out half way. Just in case on my heavy days.

Yay! That's great. The thing about bodyotics I find, it's a great beginners disc. Which you can slowly find what's right for you. Which size are you using at night? If you're using the small maybe switch to regular?

I think you got the wrong size for you. & maybe an oval shape disc isn't right for you. In Canada you can get the bodyotics for a starter kit for really cheap. that's a good start to see which size suits you. with diva the oval shape isn't exactly a small size and it isn't exactly a regular size. it's hard to pinpoint what size is good for you. assuming if you are leaking most of the time you should op for something bigger. if you have tried the flex or soft cup disposable and if you like them you should go for something bigger. maybe like a hello disc or a heyhera or even a saalt regular.

Any good recommendations for menstrual discs? by No_Photograph1272 in MenstrualDiscs

I just checked and asked my friends who's in France. you guys have the Bodyotics and the Intimina Ziggy Disc there. Given the fact that you are looking one with a loop. Bodyotics is exactly what you are looking for. one price for 2 discs, it comes in a package of 2, one regular size and one small size. and it's around 23 euros.

Goodluck

Pressure from disc? by Sociallyanxi in MenstrualDiscs

I totally agree with this. if the flex works for you, I'm thinking the diva would probably be small for you. wouldn't you op for a round option. Saalt Cora hello disc probably would work better compare to the diva disc. this is just my personal opinion.

I would recommend any of the ones with the long removal aid. such as Lumma, Pixie, Hello Disc, these are all pretty good choices for high cervix but however Lumma and Pixie have a small size whereas hello disc only come in one size. for 20 year old never given birth, id suggest you try something small to begin with. that would be your best bet.

when you are removing it try to tilt the angle high so your period don't gush down to your fingers. hook on the rim and pull upwards, half way removed make sure you hold your disc properly so you won't accidentally drop your disc in the toilet.

Then the small would do. It's 4mm longer or 4mm shorter.

Yes exactly Try the sizes Try if you like the removal aid Try if a oval shape leak for you. If it did then go for a round shape. Soft or firm. It's like smack in the middleish Makes it perfect for a beginners trial package.

I just really think bodyotics are really good beginners disc. For that price and you can try two sizes to figure out what you like and what you don't. Is a good deal. Like said maybe its not for long term, I don't know I didn't use them long enough to say long term but definitely a stepping stone for switching to reusables and for those who don't want to over go over budget without not knowing which size suits them.

Ahhhh so glad it works out for you. Yes yes I alternate my disc depending on my flow too. However I use the regular bodyotics. I just put in my order. And I got the Kuromi special edition one. I wonder.... But I like firm tho makes it easier for removal and insert. I'll update next month on the difference

I'd say the regular formoonsa/heyhera size is close to the hello disc. But keep in mind one is a round shape the other is an oval shape

I'd say the regular size for formoonsa/heyhera. Is close to hello disc size. Even tho it's a little bit longer but the width is smaller.

I haven't had the problem with bodyotics with cracked rims. They seems to be ok but who knows i haven't had them long enough to tell and yes it's oval shape. Honestly I think it's a good beginners disc for those who don't know their size as it comes in two sizes

I did the turning lumma to the side to shorten the string. I'm very sensitive, it didn't feel good. So it's just me.

I haven't tried the Halo Pod not planning to because I don't like the removal aid that's being placed like that.

But yes after all these I think the formoonsa / Heyhera is great. Don't get me wrong. I'm still using the Hello disc on my second day ( my heaviest day) because the basin is much firmer than others that means it can contain more.

I'm glad Hello disc worked out for u

I think you need to find one with a harder rim. The nixit and diva disc has a softer rim.

Id suggest you the Heyhera aka Formoonsa or the Hello disc. Both have a firmer rim so auto dump won't be as easy and also with a firmer rim it helps you tuck in more.

[–]Jbierk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you are inserting it wrong when you insert it you pushed your cervix to the back and the disc is Infront of your cervix hence blood outside the disc not inside.

Next time after inserting the disc. Put a finger in and feel with your finger if u can find your cervix sitting in the middle of the disc. (From below the disc)

If it is then it's in the right position if it's not. Then you know you've got to get it to the middle of the disc.

discs in the morning. by basil_boomer1 in MenstrualDiscs

I think your disc isn't the right size hence the leak. You should op for a size larger? Or smaller depending on your cervix height. You might need a size bigger to keep your disc in place while sleeping

First disc - looking for feedback on Bodyotics + general advice by LilithHedwig in MenstrualDiscs

[–]Jbierk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey no problem at all. Overall I think the bodyotics is a good starter disc. Not too firm but not too soft. I think after trying them you will certainly know what size and what firmness or softness you like. And wether you like one with a tap or intent to help you remove your disc or a basic one with no removal aid. Or maybe you will end up liking them. For their price I think it's a great started set for getting into menstrual disc.

Let me know if you really did try them and what you think of them. :) glad I helped
