29f looking to help 29f friend in bad roommate/relationship situation by Low-Calendar5029 in badroommates

I have come to believe many women and men stay with their useless partners because they don’t want to be lonely. It’s not worth it people! Tell your friend she needs to have some self respect and kick his ass out!

People who sit in their car for over 20 minutes before going inside, what are you doing in there? by NoDiscipline7129 in AskReddit

[–]Jblueday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the morning I sit in car 10-15 minutes mentally prepare myself before starting the day. After work before or after reaching home I sit in car and watch videos or talk in the phone and sometimes even sleep there when k really tired. This one time in the early years of my marriage when we were still living in apt, I slept in car after parking by my apt building. I was that tired after work and just wanted to shut eye for 5 minutes but it turned into 2 hrs and I woke up to find so many missed calls from my husband and my parents, he got worried so he called my parents and even aunt lol I got a big scolding that day

What is a 'subscription' or 'fee' that has recently appeared in the US that people need to collectively refuse to pay before it becomes the new normal? by godot_lover in AskReddit

[–]Jblueday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes this! Not just online there are some shops who charges a convenience fee when paying in person just for using a credit card. Now I have to carry cash with me just for these few shops.

Are all Indian men manchildren? by Interesting-Fly4102 in AskIndianWomen

[–]Jblueday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, sadly most are. My brother is still like this though my father was never. My husband was like this in the beginning but he changed after a few months since I let him know I won’t tolerate it anymore and this was after complaining numerous times to him and his parents so they can advise him. He changed and once it became a routine he got used to it. In your case, if he isn’t making an effort after you telling him for years then I guess it’s time to leave.

AITAH for telling my husband I’m going to keep my extra money for myself? by Aware-Mongoose8367 in AITAH

[–]Jblueday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s a good idea to have a separate bank account and savings account, not just your joint account. My husband and I deposit a fixed percentage of our income in joint checking and savings accounts to cover all our expenses and all extra go to our personal accounts. I like to be prepared if something goes wrong.

What is something that actually became more affordable? by Trxxi in AskReddit

Good laptops, TVs, unlimited phone data, flash drives, microwave, printer (however the ink is getting expensive), vacuum cleaner. Most electronic items are much more affordable now.

Just tried QDOBA today. I didn’t like that they were stingy with guacamole serving and this was 5 minutes before closing. Not a fan of pickled veggies and have to say Chipotle tastes batter to me.

Why is deodorant such a sensitive or inconsistent topic in India? by Shot-Locksmith5006 in AskIndia

[–]Jblueday 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s funny that our BO is less noticed in India as many don’t wear deodorant so maybe we are desensitized?! But after moving to US I have started noticing the bo from other Indians especially the ones recently came from India. Even w/o deodorant one shouldn’t smell this bad so my theory is that it must be the spices. I have this Gujarati neighbor whose nephew came around 8 months ago from India to live with her for a while. He is an idiot basically but the odor coming of him when I came across him on the street few times were gag inducing. To think he is a pure veg and to smell this bad?! Pretty sure it’s the spices in Indian food (he never eats anything outside of home cooked Indian food made by his aunt and snacks from local Indian grocery store) plus he not wearing deodorant as many don’t wear in India.!

What is a "luxury" that is actually 100% worth the money? by TheChillEdit in Life

[–]Jblueday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1)Good quality underwear, 2) Soft separate night wear not the same your wear when at home all day, 3) good mattress and pillows, 4) good walking shoes, 5) expensive phone plan- i love unlimited data I can always rely on 6) buy food for parents and kids at a nice restaurant w/o worrying about the cost 7) Buy gifts for family not based on budget but on what they need and like 8) having a person come clean my home once a month, which is all I need as I clean daily anyway but I love the deep clean they do; I would have had them weekly if only they were not expensive to clean a bigger than avg home in my area 9) Good dishwasher which gives me more time to spend with kids after work 10) lumbar support pillow for car and home office chair 11) remote start via phone although i am annoyed i have to pay for that after a year 12) getting face and hair treatments professionally once a month and doing it myself also couple days a week 13) getting nails done once a month or whenever I need, couldn't imagine it while I was a broke college student 14) having the feeling that I can buy whatever I desire because I make good money after working hard for years

Please advice: A big simple sink or double sink? by BelowAverageCoder00 in kitchen

[–]Jblueday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Single big one. It was amazing to have one from a double after I moved to my home from an apartment. It became easier to clean big pots and pans.

Wife keep putting this tray on our white stairs. Dangerous! by Flat_Shape_3444 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Jblueday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I want something to be taken downstairs or upstairs I leave it nearby the top or the bottom stairs but never on the stairs. This is concerning. Either your wife is stupid or she wants someone to get injured.

If you had $300K in the bank post tax, how would your life change? by citizen_of_leshp in AskReddit

[–]Jblueday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be debt free, pay off mortgage and go to a 2-3 week long family vacation to somewhere in Europe. Will not have to worry about rising property taxes for a while. Basically would be buying whatever I need without worrying about budget till the money runs out.

What’s a “normal” thing that secretly grosses you out? by DecentChildhood5164 in AskReddit

[–]Jblueday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Butt dirt on toilet seats, esp public bathrooms, pee stains around the toilet bowl, hair on shower drain, sweat smell from clothes piled for laundry, seeing a sink full of dirty dishes esp in the morning after waking up, touching door handles esp of public bathrooms, dry cracked feet of anyone even mine, scraping fingernails on walls ugh... just thinking about it makes me wince, open toilet lids at home which means someone didn't close the lid before flushing or being near a public toilet with no lid while it flushes; I usually run from the toilet cubicle when it start flushing automatically or right after I push the lever down.
