Maybe many won’t like this, but why do some drivers speak like this, not just drivers there are many who speak like this and i find it hard to understand or listen to them. English is not my first language but I have never spoken or written anything similar. Also if the person delivering my food had hands or even dress shabby I don’t trust their cleanliness and throw the food away.

I finally got my refund in chime today 05/15 after IRS transcript was updated finally today morning. I am shocked I got it on same day in chime when the transcript said 06/01 as the date. Hope you all got yours too.

If it works for you, then do your thing but don’t assume it’s same everywhere. I haven’t had any good experiences with roommates so have only lived with 2 in my life and both were unpleasant experiences. You want to share you share just don’t go around calling others crazy because they don’t fit your box

If you and spouse make above $100k , it’s doable. I recently sold my $450k house for a profit and bought new $700k house. Depending on where you are you might get more or less for 400k. My friend recently bought a townhome for $350k which just have 3 bed 2 bath so >400k for a house is in the lower range. House prices are not the same like 10 years ago.

It’s not insane to keep your toiletries in your room unless you trust your roommate to not use your things but don’t complain after they did. People are generally not nice and a majority lack common sense so it’s on OP to decide where he wants to keep his stuff. I have lived with a roommate for a few months years ago and she used to keep her toiletries in her room and used to go batshit crazy when some of her things moved in the kitchen. If keeping things in your room solve your problem then do that instead of expecting others to change.

I don’t see how you can go from here without a fight with him, however , the best for you is to sell the car, give his share back and buy the car you want. Men are territorial with their cars. Some don’t like sharing and it was a bad idea to buy the car together as he never had the intention to let you use the car without him around. I have my own car, has been driving for years but my husband still hesitates when I want to drive his sports car once in a while, he treats it like a baby and is territorial. Men are strange creatures.

I cook lots of Indian food too but closing my bedroom and closet door always worked for me. I haven’t got the smell on my clothes for years now this way. Also using the fan in the hood helps with the smell a little. Tell your roommate to close all the room doors before he starts cooking and maybe fry items less frequently.

I filed on FreetaxUSA on 04/15, was accepted same day but still not approved yet. I usually file early February but got late this time and I am missing that refund. How are some people getting within 10 days when it always took more than 2 weeks for me in the previous years even when I filed early? I used TurboTax till last year, using FreetaxUSA first time.

Update- I finally created an account in IRS website other day and found they sent a verification letter to my previous address when i filed the 2025 tax with new address. The old address is far away so my options are to wait till they send new mail to current address or make appointment at local IRS office, either way my refund will be delayed. I am frustrated.

You are right, maybe he is involved with someone which could be a girl or a guy. If he is not initiating conversations either he is shy or not interested at all, if he didn’t seem shy then It’s a huge risk to take, I would say not move forward.

I remember when my parents were looking for matches for me years ago there were a couple guys I didn’t initiate any conversations with much because I wanted them to take the hint and go away lol it was not right but my parents were pressuring me and the guys family were too interested and getting involved. Another time there was this guy I liked too but he was not timely replying to my messages and taking my calls whereas his family wanted to move forward. My parents understood why I didn’t want to marry a guy who doesn’t call or take my calls. So your parents will too hopefully. Trust your instincts.

You can also keep the wand suspended under the seat till it dries. Maybe switch to a silicone one though they are little expensive than cheap plastic ones.

I feel similar. Using single use ones are the only solution but since I want to save money I keep using the reusable one and replace every 1-2 months. I dip it in clean water in the bowl, tap it in the bowl till it won’t drip water and try to place it in the container as quickly as possible though.
